As an ABYC certified electrician, the electrical system is impressive and means business. The styling is sleek and rugged. It’s got internet, hydronic heating, interior and exterior storage, AWD….the list goes on and on. If you’re thinking of buying a conventional RV, just know that you’re not comparing apples to apples. This is the real deal. The west coast is known for this sort of thing but I’m proud that the East coast and especially NJ is on the map for RV’s of this caliber. Nice purposeful rig. Has a Hymer euro look on the outside. What I like: 1) Composite. 2) Massive 48v electrical system. 3) Garage. 4) 50 gallon fresh. 5) Super singles for improved off-roading 6) Aqua hot heating. 7) Large fridge. 8) Tern Overland windows/doors Critical feedback: 1) Garage door/inside not large enough to store 2 bikes? 2) Gloss interior roof and cabinets, should be flat. 3) Battery outside! This could be a performance issue with hot/cold weather. 4) Preference to build on Sprinter 170 chassis to allow more interior/exterior space. 5) No comfortable lounge space, especially as driver/passenger seats are not part of the habitat! 6) Shower stall looks a bit tight. 7) Need to know more about the manufacturer of those composite panels and construction + insulation used. 8) Need to know more about how chassis flex versus habitat box is attached and issolated - please explain more @2:50. Overall an excellent rig. Congrats

Very nice design. After living in my Sprinter, I definitely wouldn't want to deal with putting blackout covers on the windows in the front cab every night. Definitely needs a partition door between the cab. And not sure if it's possible with the design of the table but a pass through from inside to the garage would be nice so you can access some things without going outside. Great job!

We are still working on a thermal divider curtain. Between the dinette and garage is all the systems and water tank etc so can’t really access

Great specs, love it. This has made my very short list. 2 quirky questions: Are those outdated USB-A's (hope not) or (C = more future proof) how many watts output? i.e. for fast charging Mac pro or similar laptops etc? Are the aluminum available in white? thx. Kudos on all your systems.

i am afraid to ask the price, gas milage? demensions of the back storage how wide the opening? my bike is trike and is 31 inche wide on back and 80 iinche total lenght. 45 inche high, total, nice looking rv.
@nomadrvs4 күн бұрын
Introductory pricing is mentioned in the end of the video. $199,500. Mpg is per user. I got around 17. The trike is super high. Won’t fit. For reference the interior is 78” so your trike is higher than the bed counters etc.

A lot of features which would make this my choice over the Ekko, only would prefer smooth finish on cabinets maybe light gray color, and cabinets delete over bed.
@nomadrvs13 күн бұрын
There is a gray option available. We could eliminate the cabinets over the feet of the bed. There is still decent cabinetry for items then.

Yes Yes Yes. I owned a Tofino for 2 years. This van might be the most complete, well thought off in the smaller class B+. I was as impressed by the vehicle as the tour. Very well done....Yet, as others have said, the price is way too high for me. Looking back, my Tofino by Pleasure-Way was maybe the best middle ground: solar panel, lithium battery, gas heater, 2 burners induction cook top, sink, bug screens for $75,000.00 out the door. What kind of world do we live in that a $220,000 class B van should be alright?
@nomadrvs11 күн бұрын
It’s a class C but the vehicle itself is nearly $75,000 to buy. Just the cab chassis to start with. ☹️

@ first of all I’m not middle class or high class I’m poor so I drive & live in a 2003 Chevy Express conversion van. Saved quite a while to buy it. I built it out myself. There is a video on my channel. I live in poverty and not by choice but by extreme health issues. It would be nice to have that vehicle just for the bathroom alone. Maybe I’ll hit the lottery😁😁😁😁😁🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐

The $199,000 isn't terrible. But the metal cabinets, while no doubt durable just strikes me as garage like rather than home like. The sound of metal is irritating to me. I think a cream or white color would be a little better.

This looks like the Ekko Killer a lot of us have been waiting for. A couple of questions / thoughts… looking forward to the cargo carrying capacity being posted. And would you please consider locking or relocating the gravity fill? And SO HAPPY to see that the steps are NOT powered. Wow, the venting above the shower door near the galley exhaust fan… brilliant! And is there a grey dump switch inside?
@nomadrvs12 күн бұрын
Gray dump is manual. Potentially could be powered via a switch if we found a ball valve large enough for decent flow. Where are you thinking for the gravity fill?
@Harp4Hand12 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for the quick response. The gravity fill could be as simple as some sort of locking cap, or potentially behind an access door (e.g. the Ekko has a door where all plumbing is accessed). I wish I could be more specific, but I suspect that this will be an issue with buyers (27 North had a similar concern for some early models, and ended up putting the gravity fill behind a small locking access door).
@nomadrvs12 күн бұрын
@@Harp4Hand I thought you meant location. We plan on doing a locking door for security
@Harp4Hand11 күн бұрын
@ That would be ideal! And I’m looking forward to hearing about the cargo carrying capacity… the Ekko (both) are roughly 1,500 lbs depending on builds, which is pretty marginal with a 50 gallon fresh tank and all that storage. I’d love to see 1,600+ lbs so owners can take advantage of all that storage space. And thank you for the quick responses… you guys have been on the short list for our next van (or small C) for a while, I look forward to hopefully working with you in the not-too-distant future.

I’m wondering what was done to keep the metal cabinets from rattling and also to dampen sound from the large metal walls in the shower.
@nomadrvs13 күн бұрын
For starters they are built strong. But also they are attached to the walls for the shower and inside cabinets has hidden sound deadening and carpet lined bottoms making the insides more quite than wood
