With this trailer it seems the character is going to be based on benkei's youth. After all when benkei was young he was called a demon and it is said he was a troublemaker which seems to be the case for the new hero, at least he gives me that vibes.

Still waiting for a Miyamoto musashi hero build. Katana and wakazashi together. Unlike any hero he has a new style and that is multiple stance change. He has 4 fighting styles featuring all elements: water, fire, earth, wind. Like his book the 5 rings each stance is designed specifically to counter each style in the end bringing only one thing……Balance. Wind style brings all finishing heavies and lights undodgeable. Fire style brings bashes and high intensity mix up Earth style brings hyper armor and crushing counters Water style brings deflects and dodge recovery/double dodge. 1st feat the entire row is each and every single style. Feat 2 is stamina regain for every hit, troop motivation, and meditation gives all heroes teammates small boost in health and stamina. Feat 3 bow and arrow, bleed damage, low health increases damage trade, and fury Feat 4 sheer will (unlimited stamina) no fear (reduces damages overall) bushido (all parries gives small health recovery) lastly wrath of the raging demon (unlimited stamina and health regain for every successfully hit)

I don't think that we'll be able to use all of his weapons but for sure he's gonna have stances that will makes him switch between maybe 2 or 3 weapons. I think that the other weapons will be used for the executions and/or with his feats but I don't see a world where you will be able to chose and switch between 7 weapon in a single game. Way too difficult to manage, to balance and to animate. Maybe something that could be interesting : you have your primary weapon, the naginata thing and your character can go into a stance where he switch with one of his weapon but this weapon is just random, or it comes in a cyclic way (first the kento, then the tetsubo, etc etc) and you'll have to learn how to uses every weapon and/or learn the cycle. Or maybe I'm just too crazy

I wonder if chain attacks will be a weapon swap? Think medjay but it’s not a permanent swap but just the animations. They did this with Ocelotl(light and heavy) then with medjays zone animation. I think a DLC character being too complex would make new players buying the latest character get confused and the past characters have been brain dead so.

Well happy to see the new Samurai Hero and I gotta say I'm not disappointed probably haven't been this excited for a new hero in awhile but that's crazy to see he can wield mutiple weapons which will seem fun hopefully and not broken. Also I'm happy to see another spear character and that he uses Shugoki's club (my main) but I can tell this guy is also gonna be my main though isn't he gonna be a hybrid? I just don't know ow how their going to do the gear system with cosmetics If he has 7 weapons there is only 6 slots to customize and they all contribute to your perks. He may use 2 at the most but even then your telling me you want the handle of your spear stick and your rake the same? I just don't see how theit actually going to incorporate all of those weapons unless their just cool animation stuff and you can't customize them, only the spear or something.
