It's basically universally agreed that, no matter how good or bad the game actually is, Sonic games 99% of the time have some amazing tracks, and not just the vocal tracks. A lot of the remixed stuff from Generations was amazing, Mania had pure heart and soul put into its music, and even the original Genesis Sonic games have great tracks. Even Sonic Forces, a critically panned game, has some bangers, Fist Bump and Infinite especially.

I definitely recommend checking out find your flame in the same OST Tyler Smith and Kellin sing on it and it’s just god tier, and the boss fight is one of the best in the game They also use a lot of notes from the infinite theme of sonic forces which is cool considering I thought they’d bury that game after how abysmally it was received

Maybe consider checking out Find Your Flame. It's one of the other boss themes from Frontiers, but Tyler hops in with Kellin on vocals. It's probably the best boss theme in the game (haven't heard the final boss theme yet, reserving judgment till then), if not one of the best in the franchise.

I was taken by surprise with this one as well. When I fought the boss. I felt like the song was perfect. So I ended up looking it up and listened to it and then I felt like the singer sounded like kellin quinn. Then I looked it up and confirmed it was him. It's crazy that he's still got it. He needs to do this song in one his recent tours.

3:08 just wanted to add on this part where you talked about OST's in other video games and how they dont sound as good, most sonic OST's SOUND like they do belong on an actual album most of the time XD some examples are 'Live and Learn' from Sonic Adventure 2, 'What im made of' from Sonic Heroes (these 2 songs arent as heavy as Undefeatable) but one close example is 'I am (all of me)' from the Shadow the hedgehog game. all these 3 songs are done by a band called Crush 40, which is a rock band that you commonly see throughout sonic OST's EDIT: another example are 2 deleted tracks from 'Shadow the hedgehog' by a band called 'Sins of a Divine Mother' which is more metal compared to Crush 40 is. I really recommend listening to their EP :)

You know think they chose this genre simply because 2000s kids were making the first AMVs for youtube around this time. Stuff like goku and gohan going super saiyan was super (pun inteded) popular. Especially with songs from Linkin Park(while a different kind of rock it fit the idea) So in a way I kinda feel like this is a homage to a different time .

While this song is somewhat unique to the franchise, Sonic has always been known to have music that transcends the video game genre. Even the first games for SEGA Genesis were said to have it's soundtrack made with a movie in mind for the sound before converted to the 16-bit format. Shame the actual movies don't reference Sonic music more. That's the BIGGEST issue with the movies and I think including it would make the films at least 3 times more popular with newcomers. It isn't just good music but also sets the vibes and tones of the series and characters who are otherwise completely misjudged usually. lol
