Hi I totally agree with you regarding your comments about the new Soundboks weakness on bass. I never considered to return it though, because of many other undisputable qualities. I handled this problem by overcoming a couple obstacles and eating a couple of camels. In return I got an out of this world combination, and all the bass I could ask for. I bought a XTZ Spirit 12” subwoofer and a 3,5 mm stereo 2 x RCA cable, and connected the sub to the Soundboks. You will face one problem by doing this. The volume controls will not be synchronized. This I handled by putting them both on maximum and instead adjusting the volume on the phone or the laptop. Minus : Besides the extra spending`s, the sub requires 220 volts to operate. For me, there are very few places I will be using this soundboks, where 220 volts not will be available, so I focused more on being totally satisfied with a complete sound.

another way is the DFB subwoofer which has a battery and connects with Soundboks by SKAA wireless

Don't be dissapointed if you have no idea what's technically possible. With the new Update, Soundboks worked on the compression and added a custom EQ. It sounds better now and is also louder. A Subwoofer in a closed car is something else than a woofer which is firing out of the Front and sides. Inform yourself about the Things before you buy them. The Soundboks is NOT made for brutal Bass, but for extreme volume. Btw, it's a 2,5 Way System, so technically you have only one Speaker for deep Bass, which is not loud on the Soundboks anyways. Why don't you understand speakers if you Review them? UPDATE and then do another Video. And another thing: With Bass-Heavy Songs with the speaker on the ground you can feel the Bass from about 3-4 Meters away standing.

Look I have the soundboks and while it doesent sound as good as a big subwoofer. The soundboks 3 in bass+ is definetly impresive with bass and you can feel the bass from further than 4 meters indoors with a loud volume. I would say it can reach 15 meters indoors. And youre the lower woofer on the soundboks does sound darker than the upper woofer so they have thought about that. I do have some other soundsystems at home but the soundboks beat them all with bass and loundness. I have also tested PA speakers and the soundboks can definetly compete with some PA speakers when a big subwoofer is not included. So the soundboks could work great in a big area but not if you want bass that is gonna shake a whole stage. But just understand that the soundboks is portable and can still get so loud and have so much and deep bass

@@thespeakerguys-testingspeakers I wonder what PA-Speakers you compared it against, it can't keep up with a pair of my EV ELX 115. Of course this comparison is unfair since they can reach 134dB and take 400Watts continuous but at the same time they cost just 350€ each, so both of them together are still less than the Soundboks.

@@timsteuerwald2207 Well in my school ive tested mackie active srm450 v3 and without a subwoofer the soundboks definetly has depper bass and sligtly more. Loudneswise the soundboks is about 25% louder than one mackie active. But bringing a soubwoofer in the game it will make the mackie more powerful but yeah they compare good to a soundboks on bass+. I allso got to test a ev sx100+e pa speaker and the soundboks and that speaker sound pretty identical. So I say that the soundboks is good being a PA speaker, allso the fact that it has a battery and is waterresistant just beats most other PA speakers. Lastly i dont know about what soundboks you have testet but indorrs in my living room i can feel the bass in my body from the soundboks at mabye 15 meters!

@@thespeakerguys-testingspeakers I haven't just tested a Soundboks, I own the new Soundboks ;), and don't get me wrong, it's an incredible speaker and very durable. I dropped it several times and had collisions with metal railings. They left their visible and sadly also hearable Marks but it still works just fine.

I ordered mine on black Friday and I think it took about 2-3 weeks before I got it because there was a high number of orders at the time.

Well one issue is that you are testing this out in a garage setting with all hard surfaces. You should test this out in a regular living room or outdoors to get a better idea of the bass because the mid range and treble is overpowering some of the bass.

I’m about to buy a pair for karaoke but first review said this speaker don’t work well for karaoke. Anyone used it and can share if they in fact suck?

I got mine today and it sounds great! I updated the firmware right a way and it should work better. Try doing that. Break-in is a small improvement and not a night and day difference. Try the upgrade firmware . Good luck

Mackie Thump Go Value for money Cheaper The good thing about these speakers is that it has removable battery But if you are on a budget the mackie Is a good choice.

I say the bass is as good as it can be for portable. Jbl 1000 is wired and most wired Bluetooth are gonna be louder. And cant compare it to car subwoofer. Audio subwoofer has way more power and alot more wattage to Power them

I have two partyboxes 310 and they have REAL stereo sound when coupled. Two party boxes with stereo sound sound BETTER than one, even better than the Soundboks 3. Even if you couple two Soundboks with each other, the sound is only calculated down to mono, which is just louder but doesn't sound BETTER. As far as the volume of two coupled Partyboxes 310 in stereo mode is concerned, they don't take much compared to the Soundboks 3. So I would always take two Partyboxes 310 with REAL stereo sound instead of the Soundboks 3 alone because of the super cool party lighting of the party box. 😍❤️

Just know that the lower woofer has a deeper sound and the upper one sounds brigther so they are not the same woofer with EQ atleast. And you cant say that the 10 inch woofers are bad on the soundboks. They are great, the soundboks has way deeper and more bass than I imagien it would have.

DONT BE IGNORANT!!!!!You need to either amend your post and/or repost an updated review. Clearly you did not explore or utilize all the tools offered to customize your sound or adapt to the settings in which this speaker is being used. Don’t post a review on something if you haven’t given it a fair shot. Get yourself the partybox 1000 and you will see what that beast can do I have before soundboks 3 and sold it and keep the partybox 1000 when you feel that bass you will know the difference 👍

Yeah, but the target group are little Kids not thinking about weight, size, portability,... and where are they gonna get the Power from? The Partybox 1000 is an incredibly bad thought out speaker. Too bad as PA, but too big and lacking a battery to bring with you.

David Wilde I have them both (well just PB1000 now since I returned the SB3) and the bass is light years different! Bass + mode did make it a little better but songs with deep low end bass were non existent on the sb3. This review is dead on and exactly how I felt about the speaker and I kept for 60 days and it never broke in and got any better.
