Object 279 is quite fun, please don't kill yourselves trying to grind it. It has its ups and downs, the ups being good armour if downtiered and a 130mm gun that loads very fast and can pen 90% of stuff you face. The down side is atgms/apds ect will laugh at your armour. If you look at the armour it is trash on the upper plate under the turret the best way to use it is just snipe with it as you can use the 85 mm cannon at long ranges

That He 162 game reminded me of a full 8.3 team of 279s I had the other day on Eastern Europe. I had a full team of 8.3 279s and not one 9.0 tank and we were versing A1A1 L/44s with thermals in foggy and heavy rain weather where we all got sniped from 2 km within 7 mins of the game starting. We couldn't even see them and they just literally dominated us.

Reminder that the majority of allied mains will tell you the Me262, Do-335, Me-410 and Hs-129 are OP, as they play literally nothing but the OP-47, F-82 and A2D-1

Me262 is also an attacker by several definitions, but gets airfield spawn. Fw-190s are interceptors, but get airfield spawn. But A2D-1, F-82 and P-61 all get airspawn. 10/10 balance.

In GFRB, America has been getting railed with BR changes while Germany mostly only got BR decreases. Also, German 6.7/7.0 CAS is ridiculously OP. Two nations can be OP at once, however, I'm starting to see more German BRs being OP rather than American BRs.

The He-162 is probably one of the most undergunned planes in the game, nothing germany has can turnfight at all, their climb rates are inferior to allied jets, oh and to boot, the best ground striker Me-262 is easily outrun by superprops, and many prop fighters can easily catch it provided the me262 is unable to dive. PS, the 50mm has the same penetration as the Me-410. On average youre looking at maybe 80mm of pen, usually less. At 6.7. The only plane germany has that has good bombs? Arado 234? Yea, *zero* weapons. Compare those to, oh idfk, the Mig-9, A2D-1, P-51H, spacefire, wyvern etc etc Yea, totally overpowered. The *only* time allies get wiped is when they spam planes and cant defend their cap points, other than that i rarely see them lose a "fair" fight. I agree that USA didnt deserve some of the nerfs, but seriously? Germany had, what two or three downtiers??? The M48 to 7.0 which is still complete ass and what else? Apart from the sherman A3 76 and T25, all the uptiers were justified. T29 was op as all fuck, phlydaily even said so. M18 5.7 was an argument 3+ years ago and has never once been wrong. T20 was also justified, that thing has better armor than a sherman with the same gun and similar speed, and it was a lower BR??? The M42 got move to 6.0, and imho it was fine at 6.7, if people fucking aim its a great AA, while M19 is 5.0 despite being vastly superior to literally all 4.7 AA and is easily comparable to the Ostwind II, while also having more pen than the ostwind ii and coelian, while maintaining the same lethality against tanks with AP belts. Oh, and the HE belts are just as good as german 37mm HE. Yea, germany sure is OP aint it. Wanna talk about stabilized 84mm APDS at the same br with tiger ii, able to pen tiger ii ufp at 1500m, and had 6.5s stock reload until this update? How about british 105 APDS that is laughably undertiered, apart from russian heavies that shell literally lolpens anything and everything and hulkbreaks any vehicle by hitting a tire or outer layer without damaging the vehicle, while most APHE cant hullbreak on center mass and engine shots. The sherman 76 tanks shouldnt have been uptiered, i agree. But those 3 tanks dont justify how laughably outclassed germany is. The only reason they have a chance is their players actually use their brains and can actually aim, unlike allies.

The M48 is a versatile medium that gets shit done if the driver knows what he's doing. German CAS at 6.7 is nigh on uncatchable, dude. Arado 234s can just outrun anything that tries to intercept them while Me 262s can also just drag out the fight and run to their airfield before an enemy can catch them. At least Allied CAS at that BR is slow as fuck and easy to intercept. The T20 was a fucken worse Sherman at the same BR. It has no smoke and its armor advantages are nullified since it constantly faces 88s and long 75s. And I never said British 6.7 was not undertiered. I was saying that Germany gets a whole lot of shit handed to them on a silver platter and people (like you) still bitch and moan. And, because of this, I won't bother to argue with you further. I've seen more than my fair share of Wehraboos and it always boils down to the same bullshit arguments and inability to comprehend the idea that maybe, just maybe, Germany gets some OP BRs and undeserved buffs;.

@@MrLampes I have no idea. But let me think.. ... 3 hours * 10 days, that's about 30 hours... .. no, unfortunately. If you started on Wednesday (the day the event started), that'd still only be 39 hours of gameplay, and that's assuming every single second is spent in a match (which isn't possible). Meaning that, you'd be just one hour beneath the absolute minimum game-time required to be able to get the Object 279. If you played for 5 or 6 hours everyday, maybe you could do it. You could pull a me and do as much as possible in the shortest amount of time (days-wise), although that isn't very pleasant. You could also just get the turret and trade it in for the 20mm puma (which will be absolutely cancerous of a tank, the puma was already nasty before given the power of the panzer 2 c). tl;dr nope. You'd either have to increase the time spent playing, settle for just grinding the turret, or grind materials/propellant and sell them on the market for profit (if you get rocket propellant, make sure you sell that stuff near the end of the event. The prices will spike around then). You could also just not do the event, nothing wrong with that either

It took me 3 days to grind this tank, I dont use it no more as I feel this tank is ruining WT, and I ground out a turret for the sdkfz, the game said I couldnt trade for it for another 6 days, but 6 days later the event AND my turret had vanished, so I never got the trade-in. Also this 279 has ruined the Maus, they removed the Maus for this tank, and uptiered the Maus so this 1945 tank is facing a 1959 prototype and the other tanks that pen the Maus real easy, although the mouse hasnt been given its 272mm armor it had in RL, yet the 279 gets auto fire extinguishers for the lower canisters, so they can driver around without fear.

Uh, no? Just because a tank was designed to survive a nuke from a _very_ far distance doesn't mean they need to add nukes (nor that they would). There would be nothing to gain for Gaijin if they added nukes. Literally everyone would hate it. Even one nuke would kill the entire map, even if they were in the 279 (since the 279 can't protect from the heat of a nuke and the crew would still be obliterated inside the tank or the blinding flash which would leave the crewmen without functioning pupils).

Blunt .Cabbage I said “I wonder” because they may add nukes or they may not add nukes. The crew inside the tank would probably had special goggles to protect their eyes from the light of the bomb and the tank would have probably not been in the radiation zone, nor the area where u would instantly die, the crew and the tank would probably been in the area of the blast where u would just feel the shock wave which was strong enough to push tanks over, watch phlydaily’s old video when some mod creator made the model for the tank and made a custom scenario for it, besides, the shock way is most likely bigger in size and area than the radiation and instant death Zone(excluding the area of the radiation zone and the instant death zone). It was not built for standing nuclear bombs dropped on it, it would survive the blast from it due to its shape. And besides they already have bombers in the game that in real life can carry nuclear bombs, the only thing that I would see that would cause gaijin to not add nuclear bombs(excluding the players reactions) is creating a variant for certain planes such as the b-29, the Enola Gay and the other b-29 that dropped the Nuclear Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had their payloads removed and had new, modified payloads that can be able to hold a nuclear bomb

@@waterlicker8635 You _do_ realize that a nuke on any of the maps in-game would kill every single tank on the map, right? And that it would also stand a good chance of killing every plane on the map, right? Also that the 279 was not equipped to survive a nuclear blast from any less than one kilometer away, right? The addition of nukes is such an asinine idea that it's hard to fathom how they could even properly implement it without literally making the game unplayable for everyone in the match after it was dropped. There would A) be zero point in adding it as it would kill your entire team and would force Gaijin to model _every single map_ to properly depict the damage caused by a nuclear weapon, B) insanely unbalanced since only one rare event heavy tank for a single nation at a single BR would have any chance at all of surviving (even though the crew would likely die anyway), and C) no added benefit for Gaijin, they can't really milk nukes for money since literally the _entire_ community would be against it wholeheartedly and the monetary gain from selling a premium that has nukes would be dwarfed by the amount of players detesting Gaijin's choices and leaving the game.
