Well made low angle starting wedges are almost impossible to locate. I’m trying to make mine from heavy truck leaf springs. Yours looks amazing.

No tempering required?

Hey there! These are actually hardened and tempered. I soften around the top of the wedge to avoid it from chipping, but the bit is hardened so that it will hold up to knocks and the occasional rock.😃
