Starting cold diesel engine ,maybe its just a wierd idea of mine,but im a firm believer in cranking the engine over for around i dont know 30 seconds maybe less and give it 5 to 10 second break and do all over again crank the engine over again for 30 seconds or less and give the batteries and the starter a break an repeat it a few times I just think the chances for the engine to start are better than to have it continuous cranking over nonstop Thats my 2 cents of advice for today

Its actually the opposite. Takes more juice to start cranking than to keep it cranking. And the little bit if warmth you get in the cylinders cools off so you have to restart again

It's a c9 cat it won't start below 40 degrees unless it's plugged in, and even then, it's not a garuntee. I'm the service manager for an Agco dealer, and we fight those old cats!

You guys need to get some moth balls yes they smell but they smell way better then mice crap and piss or dead mouse we had the same problem we tried dryer sheets they made a nest in the sheets moth balls is the best put them in a closable container when you get out open it

The fuel pressure seems to be bleeding off so it takes a bit to get it pressured up.

@FastAgMontana I have a c7 in my 884 and I have to cycle glow plugs 3 times every morning and my fuel pressure on console says it's 0 then slowly starts building while cranking, but yours cranks alot better then mine does in 45°F weather😂 remember if it has heui pump injectors don't start firing until oil pressure rises. Did you figure out gps signal?
