Same this is the build I have been dreaming of No annoying weave self part Just 2 attunements and good dmg Plus optional water/earth until Using ele sword (f-sw2 is the best skill in the game) And no 2sec attunement swapping Love it

Videos are good especially for a new player like myself even tho Im not playing an elementalist (I will lvl one after I put time in on both thief and rev sense I want to atleast "master" these two classes first sense Im enjoying them the most) but the main thing I like most about your videos is the music it makes me feel like Im about to go train for a boxing match i dont know why lol

It's complicated and depends on a variety of factors and even preference. You'll be fine either way.

While they both have Power and Ferocity as their stats, they have them in different spots, meaning they have different total amounts of each stat. Scholar has +175 Power and +225 Ferocity, whereas Dragonhunter runes have +100 Power and +300 Ferocity. As more Power is generally better than more Ferocity in power damage builds (iirc there is a tipping point where Ferocity becomes better but I don't recall where it is or how attainable it becomes), the one with more Power comes out on top. Additionally, until SotO's launch a couple days ago, Scholar had a much better 6th rune bonus, granting a flat 10% damage increase, compared to Dragonhunter's 6th bonus of a few measly Might stacks when you're already expected to be capped out on Might already. This historically made Scholar the overwhelming winner in the power build rune department. It might very well be that once the big number crunchers get around to all the new stuff, we might see a handful of builds switch over to Dragonhunters. But seeing as most of us have Scholar already equipped, might as well stick with that for now, no?

Celestial works on every open world build in the game. It's a great set up. Just take the traits that give you quickness if you are solo.

IMO Celestial Elementalists are better suited for condi damage focused builds over power ones. Fire, Earth, and Catalyst trait lines would do well for that, take Written in Stone and go full or nearly full Signets for Auras galore. Focus on burning duration (secondarily overall condi duration for dem bleeds) with your runes and sigils, bounce between fire and earth for damage. Not entirely sure which weapon set would be best here, now that the field is opened up. S/Wh is probably still a fair bit of fun, at least, and has built-in boon extension on earth wh 4 which is nice.

@@acetrainerharper nope you unlock it very fast, then you can just buy a fully upgraded jade bot from the auction house for cheap. I'm not sure you even need to do the story, just buy one.

I didn't buy the expansion because I don't have enough money, I'm from Latam sadly... a month ago I bought eod and I really liked the channel for the builds of eod specializations, now I think you won't make builds for those who don't have it anymore the new expansion... nothing makes sense to me for now then... The opener is tight, and messing it up will land you in the 32k region. I spent about an hour on trying this yesterday and never got near 41k, my highest was 36k.

@@KimeraJin You can play this in open world fine with the open world variant. But the reason why people don't typically do solo no boon benchmarks is because it's impossible to tell what and who you will have around you. There are an infinite amount of scenario's in open world, that is why the open world build is focused on you staying alive and providing as many self boons as possible just to cover all angles. And of course in fractals/raid/strike and most big open world meta's you will have people providing all the boons you need. Good luck!
