There is also a port of mutable reverb coming soon to community firmware! Once we get a better reverb, we'll have a perfect ambient machine. It is amazing how much features have come in just a few months. And there is more to come. As someone said, every day is Christmas with the Deluge community firmware
@willswitchcraft10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I said the Christmas thing recently........and I couldn't agree with you more. Reverb is so critical for 'ambient', and I hate to rely on external gear, as you instantly loose the ability to include the Verb with the saved patch..........Just waiting for someone to get on that - it will be a real milestone.....thanks for your comment MM!

The same way you did those amazing Hydrasynth patch packs, I would really really love if you came up some day with a patch pack for the Deluge community firmware! Love your channel!

Thanks.....yes, I've been hearing requests for some sort of patch bank offerings. I'll probably do that, but of course I'll have to be certain that none of that content includes any of the patches I've purchased from other developers - just my own Multi Sampled instruments.....thanks for the nudge.....

I just became a Deluge OLED owner in October (at its new, improved, $1400 USD price) , so when I saw your headline I had a brief "WHAAAT???" moment before realizing that your video might actually be about the community firmware release. You got me! I actually haven't tried the community firmware yet-- I figured that maybe it would be best to get fluent with 4.1 first and then switch over once the community release had matured a bit, but now I'm tempted to switch right now. Deluge is definitely the most inspiring instrument I've worked with. Glad Synthstrom released the OLED update, though... I think that I would have passed on the Deluge if the 7-segment LED display was the only option.
@willswitchcraft10 ай бұрын
Glad I didn't freak you out too badly. I think you're smart to get a solid feeling for the Deluge before downloading the new firmware. Even the 'factory' firmware is very complex and takes a while to wrap your head around. There are a few little gl:tches with the new features, so ....whenever you get around to trying those updates, they will probably have worked out the bugs......Enjoy.....................

Massive fan of the deluge and appreciate the open source. I’ve also learned in life that there is having too much. There is no way possible to have everything that everyone wants in one device. There will be a limit. The grain fx eats up cpu power. At some point the goal needs to be play more vs wanting more. Choose wisely.
@willswitchcraft10 ай бұрын
I agree 100%......Just because one feature is essential to one user, doesn't mean the rest of us should even bother.................too many choices is a big problem with our whole modern life IMHO

Very good point. I'm Canadian, and I know that there are loads of words which we pronounce differently. I actually pronounced Moog BOTH ways in one of my videos - just to make the point.
