The only things ever done was two tune ups at 100k and 200k miles, two batteries, a brake light switch ($50) and a new AC compressor recently. I like the body style of it. Too many cars are trying to be edgy instead of just have a simple design. I like the basic shifter in the center, some vehicles go over the top with that. I've always preferred physical keys/ignition. The gauges have a lot to be desired and I think Toyota could have definitely made them look nicer without costing anymore money. I'm not a huge fan of that whitish color on the dash but it isn't bad. The upper parts of the door handles really make it look cheap. Just a few minor differences would make a big difference imo. Also, if someone is shorter, idk what that center armrest will do for them. It'll be a cheap car that gets phenomenal MPGs. I'm excited to see the hatchback. Hopefully that'll be Hybrid. Also, what's up with Toyota putting the electric rearend in all these? Is it really that desired? I don't live in a place that gets much snow and I've never had issues with needing the rear wheels.

I’m confused. Why did they revert back to more primitive features for the 2023 LE hybrid compared to the 2022 LE hybrid? For example, the 2022 version had push button start, big digital dashboard display, and alloy wheels, but the 2023 version has key start, small digital dashboard, and steel wheels??

Why panic over hubcaps. You can easily get your own hubcaps aftermarket or even alloy wheels form a local tire shop for way less than a dealer would charge. Same with people who are angry about not having standard floor mats in some cars. There are so many great floor mat choices can order online that are better than OEM.

Few words of note. The 2019-2022 Corolla Hybrid was always a LE trim. They also used to have alloy wheels, keyless entry, push button start, and the upgraded gauge cluster with the 7" screen as standard. I'm seriously disappointed that they switched the LE to steel wheels and now only have the 7" screen gauge cluster on the XLE. I'm sorry, but it makes more sense for all of the Hybrid trim levels to have what the previous LE had with improvements, not downgrades. Everything else they did: new trim levels, e-AWD, TSS 3.0, gen 8 infotainment system, etc, are all 100% absolutely awesome. I just wish they hadn't downgraded the gauge cluster on all but the XLE trim and it honestly makes little sense to take away the alloy rims from the LE model since they originally had the alloys on it for better fuel economy. As for the TSS 3.0, that's standard on all models of Corolla for 2023. Toyota announced that TSS 3.0 is going to be the new standard for all models starting in 2023. The same goes for the gen 8 infotainment system. The reasons to get the Hybrid over the non-Hybrid Corolla are: fuel economy, emissions, lower maintenance costs, and available e-AWD. Everything else is the same.

Ooh, I HATE those door handles. Didn’t Toyota learn by having those types of handles in the early 2000s? I’ve driven a 2001 Corolla and had to replace the door handles 6 or more times on both the passenger and driver side. Same with our current 2000 Sienna! In 20 years everybody will be replacing those handles too. Same problem over 20 years… stupid.
