Scrap mechanic was released in Januray 2016, so 7 years and 2 months ago. It took them about 4 years until May 2020 to develop the entire survival game. It's taking them 3 years already to release the 2nd major update (challenge mode's complexity it's peanuts compared as it is to develop the survivel part). If it there be an update 3 we can expect it in 2026 /27. That will be 10 years!

Don't get me wrong, when that sweet sweet up update finally touches down, I'm playing it with SOMEbody, but for now, there's just... Not enough to do other than building and smack robots in that game. It feels like it's missing so much, but that I can't put my finger on WHAT it's missing. (Past this point, I'm theorizing as to what content updates I think everyone might benefit from that might vary and evolve the current sandbox in a positive and enjoyable manner. You do not have to read any of this whatsoever and it's more of a digital diary for me than anything.) The biggest thing for me, is that, in a survival game... The players stats are all blanket meters that do nothing but tell you you're taking damage, but they add nothing other than tedium to the table. A way to remedy this might be adding penalties and advantages to refilling dwindling stats such as food, health, and maybe the addition of needing to sleep and... (Forgive me, I think it may have been a mod, but, I remember a thirst mechanic too? It would be a nice addition if it's not in, my most recent experience with Scrap Survival was heavily modded, so...) For example, when hungry, the player might feel fatigue and maybe does less damage to blocks, enemies, and other entities, but on the positive end, you might find that because you haven't eaten as much, you become a more dangerous combatant. Feeling more desperate during combat, your characters attacks become faster and more precise. A sort of animalistic instinct reveal exactly where and what to hit on the machines to destroy them more efficiently, but only in this hunger induced rampage is it possible. More or less, interactivity within SM survival feels limited. I feel little impact on the world around me as I move through it and the lack of immersive wildlife aside from Wocs?... Devoid. We need more, and better wildlife, farmable animals of all sorts, ambient wildlife few and far between, maybe Deer, Sheep, Pigs, Chickens, and maybe some friendly field bots that produce organic consumables from grazing on the fields and converting various grasses into proteins and fibers fit for consumption while filtering toxins out. Have them be a sort of passive or neutral farmbot that exists solely to be reaped for materials or milked for organic, edible byproducts. The environment around us, though varies, lacks substance. Many endless green fields and shallow ponds of water. Forests, exciting and visually appeasing terrain, seasons, caves, natural replenishment of flora, snow that might engage the player to make tracks instead of tires, things of the like. All things that the world of Scrap Mechanic and it's inhabitants would easily advantage from, all hypothetical, all fun, and most importantly, relatively easy additions from a game development stand point. At least, easy with today's game engines, that is... I'm impressed that you'd even bother scrolling all the way down here, let alone read all that. Kudos.

Pix's new voice is messing with the voice recognition part of my brain, because at time he/she/they?(haven't watched the video yet) sounds like the many times I heard they(yeah just to be safe) used for the months I've watched pix, so this new voice is boggling my mind, because it's constantly going like "who you" then "ah you pix" then it it's says "who you" again, it's a cycle that will last until I get used to the new voice. Haven't been this confused since I first saw a trans person sounding and looking like a beautiful iron trap with soothing music playing, and a big juicy steak in the middle, ready to trap me like a small critter.

@@jacksonhathcock3377 got rid of the confusion, the voice recognition part of my brain have finally completed "updating", so it no longer confuses me, now there's another problem, I can and can't remember old Pix's voice, I can kinda remember it but the new one overlaps it and it's like the voice changer where you year your original voice then the changed one after. And after thinking about it Pix sounded a little feminine with his?her?they?(still haven't watched the come out video yet) voice, like how when you find out about something like for example Pix here, you'll slap yourself because it was slightly obvious but so well hidden that you just didn't notice it untill you found out or was revealed to you. Before Pix came out, he's voice did sound a little weird but I just chalked it up to him having a weird nasally voice, but I can now hear the similarities of then and now.
