not sure if it isnt better to play more into the naga then the pirate. With the pirate, every 3 cards gotten into hand gives a +5/5 to each minion on the board, so +25/25 stats total (5 useable "other" minions and one rotate slot). Assuming every card you buy is 3 cards (due to spellcraft or battlecries), thats average about 25/25 per card you buy. By the end the Naga was +43/43 per naga. If instead of the 2 looters at 16:15 you would have gone for the 2 naga (or even more of them earlier) it would have been +86/86 per naga you buy. even assuming thats 1 in 2 of every card you get thats still 43/43 of stats per bought card. upside with Naga is more focused stats (3 big minions) which leads to space for more scam later without losing the stats associated with that spot.

I had the same thing, last fight I had been grabbing a bunch of consume spells, and then I had golden nuizao and made it 2000/2000 and then had a few smaller taunted nagas. It shredded their entire team with it's cleave and I won easily to the beast player with 150/150 beetles

​@@TonyRigamarollaRoni beetles are very powerful because beast finally has a good battlecry to trigger with macaw rylak (+brann +baron) if you find the build it's easy to push beetles over 300-400 stats and you can summon soooooo many of them

Whats harder to believe is that whole segment at 13:50 witth the coast guard didnt just trigger 3 times, it also took one of the frozen units from your hero power for all three interactions. That didn't happen again when you got it laters so that was really cool.

@@owen-jj8oj I really don't think that's gonna happen. I've been playing mostly Quillboar, and lost lobbies with more stats than Shady had, with way less of a highroll. Naga seems like great midgame tempo with Thaumaturge, I guess it's possible that the meta shifts towards more tempo and they take the lead, but lategame-wise, Naga doesn't hold a candle to Quillboar.

@@CaptainSweatpants90 I just played a match, was getting +90/90 on each spellcraft I used and ended up destroying the lobby with a 2000/2000 golden nuizao, it was pretty easy to do. You realistically just need some consume spells and naga immediately opens the game up for easy wins

Yeah, pirates, naga, and mechs can pop off but they feel very reliant on getting key cards while quilboar just kinda pop off for free. (dragons are a whole new level of bad)

Played 10 games yesterday and was able to force pirate whenever i wanted because getting golden brann with infinite gold is easy af now. 7 out of 10 games were pirates and i got 1st six of those 7 pirate games the other one was a 2nd place 😂 they just scale so so fast

I had a fun comp today with naga quills that used macaw+ the new deathrattle get 2 bloodgems dude (If you golden it it gives you 6) and got like 8 gems every turn. Eventually made some huge nagas and almost won.

Why on earth selling the naga that gives you spell craft gain 2 nagas? That shouldn't be starting to print groundbreakers?

It is random? Would take many turns to get more of a specific naga, too inefficient.

If yes, he sell it on the turn where he got two tier 5 nagas, meaning next turn he will have 100% two tier 6 nagas, which will be likely to be a groundbreaker, and even if not, he will still buffed more the one he already had, and the next turn he will probably got a groundbreaker

Golden Brann + Golden Groundbreaker + 7 Salty Hogs and no mistakes at plays. Still barely won the game against that unoptimized mech build. If this kind of quality board happens at pirates or quillboars, minions will hit the 1000's of stats. I think Naga's need Athissa to scaling for themselves. Otherwise looks like they are going to become a support tribe.

Agreed. But at least polarizing beatboxer is gone, and then again, if cycling was too strong then that would be all that exists and mobile players would have no point to play because it’s a lot slower on mobile
