Seeding resentment and hatred is a goal of Marxist ideology, which is the root cause of the insanity. The resentment is then channelized into revolution. Study up on Maoist China dn the Cultural Revoloution.

I couldn’t tell if Robyn DiAngelo was a sociopath or on the autism spectrum because she was projecting her own racism in White Fragility on all white people. For those of us who’ve been raised in melting pots and interact with all kinds of people’s personalities and energies you really become a certain type of colorblind meaning you just don’t notice skin color as any type of priority thing. A book like hers could also cause a form of ptsd paranoia type thing in black people or others if they believe all white people are looking at them in some strange way because of their skin color.

Very good episode...I have seen the deleterious effects for a long time and even how it impacts MY thinking.....and I don't like it. It's not making me a better person but a worse one. I am trying my best to steer clear of the nonsense and the grifters (exactly what I call them) and just relate wonderfully to people. Outside of social media (and DEI workshops), people are rather lovely, kind and normal. Thank God.

I'm sure everyone who comes to your comments has read my background in the continued work I have done for civil and women's rights, so I won't bore anyone with all that, but... The US used to be much more inclusive and tolerant just 8 years ago. All DEI has done is separate and resegregate what was already on the road to recovery. It criminalizes people for their skin tone. It forces speech and stops any organic chances of a person developing compassion and friendships and destroyed existing relationships. I'm not saying there isn't or wasn't any room for improvement, but DEI promoted victimization on one side of the spectrum and fear on the other. A natural recipe for disaster. We were much more inclusive before all this crap. But changing one word in a title doesn't always make it a different book. Change the story, not just the title.

Never have I felt a greater racial tension between black and white people in the U.S.. I see people's character, not their color. How you choose to represent yourself is YOUR choice and personal responsibility despite your background, race, or personal expierences. Come correct to the table? People will respect you and may even listen to you. Empower yourself. Not a color. Or absence of one.

I think it could be all part of the overall plan. Since there is now more racial tension there is a market for racial grifters to get paid to fight the racial divide that they have created.. its kind of a genius move. Evil but still genius.

Ms. Katiti, I am troubled by the statement you just made specifically targeting the US and segregation. Segregation ended legally in 1964. That is generations ago. We all go to the same public schools, the same grocery stores, the same churches, and the same voting booths now and have for decades. Please do not insert your hatred and perversion of US living as statements of fact. Moreover, segregation by affiliation is NOT a unique US experience. It is a human experience which is why the Tutsis and Hutus kill each other, why there are castes in India, and why there are virtually no blacks in Russia. Finally, your characterization of what "woke" means to conservatives is equally troubling. SMH
@UmbrellaBird789
@UmbrellaBird789 Жыл бұрын
Kali, you have every right to your own opinion, but I wouldn't accuse Kimi of having a "hatred and perversion of US living" because of her statements in this video. You don't have to agree with everything she says, but I really respect her efforts to be nuanced and don't think that means she has hate for this country. Just because the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964 and ended segregation "legally" doesn't mean things magically reintegrated overnight. Laws can change overnight, but hearts often don't. I understand DEI has resulted in more racial tension and re-segregated spaces (trust me , I was just at an extremely liberal college), but I still think it is fair to talk about how the "legacy" of racism and segregation has caused harm even after 1964.

@@UmbrellaBird789 Here's an FYI: Racism in the larger population of the United States pretty much died in the 1980s. The kids of that era (I'm one) never even considered that we'd exclude based on skin color. Sure, we talked a little different, and we looked a little different, but we were still people, and just wanted to go ride bikes and climb trees and play astronauts and aliens and stomp through the woods around the neighborhood. Outside of the occasional bout of name-calling, nobody cared.

I know people who make it their mission to give opportunities to and hire minority people. I don't think that I have any right to say that they shouldn't do that. I hope they succeed at making the world better. What I do take issue with is that many of these people also condemn other people who do not adopt their cause and do the same thing. That's wrong. Each person needs to be free to decide how to contribute to making the world better, but no one should shove that down other people's throats.

These things were very prevalent in US only corporations. When I started to work for companies that have a global presence there were less DEI trainings and programs. I now work for a global company headquartered in Australia and it's pretty much non-existent. There are the normal harassment training programs and that's about it. I'd imagine a company headquartered in Europe would be the same. Hopefully US companies take that route in the future.

That's what bothers me so much. Results get so little focus, usually none, in all social issue discussions, and if you oppose or question these things based on what the results are, you still get labelled as "far right/bigoted/"upholding supremacy"/etc. The baseline of "good" is just whatever Democrats tell us is good. Saagar's joke about "feeling good" does seem to carry a lot more weight than "doing well" or improving things. I always try to slip in a mention to people who blindly support these things that it's important to always be critical of organizations that have "feel good" missions that try to "help people", because they benefit the most when more people are suffering and more grievances can be claimed. This is true of the race-based organizations, LGBT organizations, the entire pharmaceutical industry, etc. It's so easy to be taken advantage of by these industries, because it's so easy to place critics in the category of people who "don't care" or hate "progress" when the practices of these organizations offer no authority beyond "We represent this group and their needs, so everything we do is good". I think they should be forced to provide proof of both claims (that they actually "represent" the groups) and that what they are doing is good and in what ways and reassessed often.

Right?? The cure is always less profitable than the treatment. We could've cured the racial divide so long ago if it weren't so profitable to perpetuate the disease. That's why all the funding in the world goes into "curing" cancer, instead of "preventing" it in the first place. Imagine if all the US donations into cancer cure research (e.g. Race For The Cure, etc.) went instead into lobbying Congress to ban all the skin care chemicals, food additive chemicals, packaging chemicals, etc. which we KNOW are actually causing it and are BANNED in Europe and elsewhere? The Hospitals and Pharmaceutical industries make money treating the sicknesses that the Manufacturing industries make money creating. In the same way, everyone who sells DEI training or Gender-Affirming Care, etc. make money treating the sicknesses that the Activism industry makes money creating. It's all about following money around its vicious cycles of abusing the public for profit.

Wow! Thank you for putting yourself on the line. It is so brave to speak out for many of us that resonate with your feeling. I recently spoke out that “Diversity” is mostly focused on physical representation and not about interactions and learning how to actually engage in diversity… I say this because now it gives ppl the permission to say it’s “too laborious” to explain and discuss things…that’s not engagement in diversity! -we can’t even have civic discourse? ok ok. I get it. It can be emotional toil but out a pin on it don’t just discard it. That’s not how ppl build alliances. Also I don’t have to always agree with you and vice versa for me to respect you as a human being and treat you with dignity And the comment on Atlanta (I’m from there) its true what they mention in the video but also ppl should be asking why there’s more diversity in Atlanta… minorities have worked very hard to set base perhaps bc of resilience and equity, ofc there are still challenges in Atlanta. The company moving to Atlanta, regardless of monitory incentives, the action of moving alone is a practice of engaging in Diversity as best they can. I’m currently in an MSW program and it has been challenging, causing unnecessary emotional turmoil that I had never experienced in my life… Sincerely, from a jewish woman of color PS Honestly having to say of color is lame but true… Like I’m attending a grad student of color dinner… reverses segregation? I went into social work to study policy and social behavior to ‘improve’ society yet it feel like the culture of it (not all of social work) is inciting the opposite of improvement We no longer have to be held accountable for actions or comments that may be unfounded bc “it’s too much emotional work”. WTF is that? How are we to try to understand perspectives of diverse thoughts if we can’t even speak to one another! 😭 I fear that so many incompetent individuals can graduate from such programs that will work with and impact people
