This is the difference between statistically rare and rarity in a practical sense. Is it statistically rare per second of you being in the lobby? Because while the percentage is "rare", if you spend 1 minute in the lobby that's 60 revolutions making it much more obtainable. Or is it based on visits to the lobby menu? There's some information that we're missing in all of this

Yes, the lobby animation is super rare, but you have to remember that those animations happen every couple of seconds, where as you only get a apex pack every now and then, so If you think about it heirlooms are still rarer

Yeah, if you were to open even one pack daily the amount of heirlooms chances are the same but they would appear A LOT faster. Heirlooms are harder bc of the super slow chance to get + the very very slow pace people get packs (unless ofc you buy packs at a high rate)

NO LIE, I actually got this animation seconds after unlocking Newcastle and trying him in the firing range as soon as the season started. I had no idea it was rare at the time, i just thought it was a cool touch. I know its impossible to prove but it actually did happen.

Yeah so that is his lobby pose. if you have one friend in your lobby and they use newcastle then they'll do the football pose with the cell, but if you have a second friend and they use newcastle then they'll use the take off his helmet pose

0.2 % chance for a heirloom is probably the greatest misconception in Apex. The devs say it is less than 1% but you get it in 500 packs guaranteed.
