I thought ur new weapon was the cricket at first, didn’t know there was more weapons than the once u get from researching. That’s exiting

I'd agree that it does look very similar to the Cricket! Yes, there are a ton of guns and spells in this game. The overall variety of builds is crazy. I'm really enjoying the decay options. Always love a great poison capability in video games.

@@GoatForceGaming do u remember where u got that weapon from? cuz on the research mirror thingy it tells me i can research more weapons. was it just somewhere in the world behind a lock?

@@Lyr00 It's actually in the boss room on that table by the alter. I grabbed it during my previous attempt. If you run up there during the fight, you'll see it.

I bought this last night and installed it, but yet to dive in. Got all my controls/settings configured, but a little worried that my late 50s reflexes may not be up for this game. I tore through all the original FPSes back in the 90s and early 2000s, but that was just a few years ago.

I hear you, boss. You know what? Just get in there and have fun. If you get beat up a bit, so what--just enjoy the runs and the chaos that pops off all around you. Go in knowing it's going to be rough and just inch your way forward by progressing the stats over time. I'm clocked in at around 90 hours and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. And when I go to the castle, believe you me--I still get banged up out there. But I have a good time doing it and I always promised that I'll melt their faces right off next time. 😂 May your runs be successful and your loot be plentiful!

Thanks so much, buddy. Really tough boss--multiple attempts were made and I was shocked at the final outcome. Had no intention of getting all the way there and believe me--I was ready with my famous "this was just a warm-up" line. 😂

That was awesome fight. Can see what you mean with the Dark Souls reference. This reminded me also of those mystic/hallucinations in Far Cry 4. Great video had fun watching while enjoying some coffee.

@@Meisuko That's a great reference point also! The fight's disjointed nature adds to the complexity of it all and it's quite jarring the first couple of times, but I was feeling more confident after the third encounter. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was excited to put this video out there!

As spectacular as the boss' attacks and the dream realm are, I'm disappointed that the boss is mostly a bunch of minion battles. We spend pretty much all game fighting minions; we go to the boss for something different and awesome, like the Galley Slave. The Prophet started out promising with all the incredible spells but the minions diluted that hard. I was also expecting something HUGE when the Prophet showed off their wing but no; just more minions.

You know what? This is a completely valid criticism and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. I totally understand where you're coming from. Truth be told, my first trip down the stairs, I had no idea what the green arcana was even for and was puzzled by the negative effects. Like... Why would someone try to make this harder than it already is when the gnosis is stepped up? And then it dawned on me. I know what you're saying, buddy. And I LOVE the Galley Slave.

@@GoatForceGaming Yeah, and THAT is all amazing. It's utterly fantastic buildup; the shores and the castle had nothing like that, preferring to just guide you to the boss' arena. Then we had this approach that took longer than the actual level and it left me tense and excited for what was promising to be a boss battle unlike any we'd seen prior. And it certainly was unlike any we'd seen prior, although not for the reasons I was hoping for. I was thinking "... Okay, this cutscene sucks; it's just a robed guy with his back to us and it doesn't even give us an unsettling face reveal or him turning to do a cool pose at us", then I was thinking "Oh these spells are CHAOTIC! And he's flinging tables and chairs at you and this is COOL!" then I was thinking "Wait, we're doing this stand-in-the-circle-and-kill thing again? Didn't we already do this three times?" then I was thinking "Oh great, all that buildup for a standard middle manager boss who just dispatches copy-pasted grunts at us", then I was thinking "WAIT, WHAT'S WITH THE WINGS? WHERE'S THIS GOING?!" then I was thinking "Oh, wait, it's just more bloody copy-pasted grunts." The approach was fantastic, needing Gnosis to just get down there in the first place and then making you go through the deepest of descents while taking on debuff after debuff to set up a dreadful atmosphere for a terrifying battle. It's just the battle itself sucks.
