On "view stats" at the PBA Players Championship you left a lot of leaves with the 2 pin. Why? Angle into pocket? Ball drilling? Ball backing up before hitting the head pin? ETC.

What I'm seeing so far (from all the reviews I've watched) is a symmetric ball with midlane like the exotic. Basically it's a bit cleaner than the zen (hooks a bit later, so it has the energy to come around the corner harder), and a bit stronger (earlier) than the ruby.

I was throwing it with the ruby at today's demo. It's earlier but doesn't pop off the dry as hard. Really liked it for me. Wife needs the help and was throwing the exotic.

IMO the best thing you can get from a ball is predictability. If you know how it’s gonna roll and break, that’s all you need. My Rhino reactive pearl fits that bill. Last night I rolled seven strikes in a row. The only misses were my fault, not the ball’s fault.

I feel like that’s the most difficult thing as a newer bowler is learning how to read the lanes and transition appropriately. I bought a hustle camo for the burn. I thought being a weaker ball it would be more of a smooth motion but it does the complete opposite and rips off the dry harder then my aggressive bowling balls 😢

Weaker/stronger is mainly front to back so ripping off the dry should be a surface issue. Try bringing the surface up along with some polish on your Hustle Camo and that should help with what you’re looking for. I’ve really been playing with surface changes and they are massive.

Although I've been bowling for only a year, I watch your ball reviews to help me look for the things you see in your shots. I'll watch the videos multiple times, rewind and play several times during each play. But, going out there and doing it yourself, seeing your own shots is different. Not through a camera off set to the side, but at the line behind the ball. Everyone bowls differently.

Darren, enjoy your videos. But if you are a lower skilled player, 168 average, and can’t afford to have 5000 bowling balls. What would you recommend for 1 or two balls if I mostly bowl league. I did bowl nationals for the first time this year and was about 6 pins below my average. Currently I have a 16 pound crux, and a 14 pound dark side both pin up.

idk if these get read but ive got a pretty unique question. so im blind but still have partial vision but i went bowling recently and it was pretty fun still i cant really see the pins its jsut a big white blob and cant see past the first set of lane markers. but i was playing around with the diffrent ally balls and found a 12 pound to be the msot comfortable and easiest the throw straight consistantly since i cant really aim to a set point to try and setup a curve. what type of ball do you think would be a good fit for someone like me who is just looking to throw a ball with power and basically as straight as possiable
