His daughter must be 20 now. Wow, how time flies. I miss Garrison so much on PBS each Sat. nite. He is a gem and I am personally not convinced he was needing a "smack on the hand" for just placing a hand on some woman's back while talking to her was worthy of losing his job. Come on people. Thank our Lord that in years past this new "sensitivity" did not exist or so many people would have been out of work. What happened to apology and accepting of that apology? It is biblical after all. If God can forgive YOU all you have done, you are obligated to do the same for you are ordered to do so according to scripture. Our world has thrown that book out the window and forgotten God's admonitions. Sorry Garrison, you deserve no such judgment by unjust judges. This from a society that does not find pornography or blasphemy offensive. And we wonder why the world is in a plague? I don't.

With one woman, it badly affected her career and work ethic. There were others that felt uncomfortable with his advances. It may have been unintentional, due to lack of social awareness, he says he has autism. But either way, he definitely deserved some form of reprimanding. I recently had to cut off ties with a friend because of the weight of the sexual assault allegations against him. These are the costs of caring about consent. “This new sensitivity” has been taken to some crazy lengths in recent times, I agree, but people who sexually harass others, especially habitually, need to be ousted if things are going to improve. Sensitivity is a valuable trait, one of the many beautiful of facets of Jesus’s personality, and women deserve just as much compassion for their turmoils. TLDR: people rape people Also, interestingly, his relationship with institutionalized religion isn’t super health. Read the controversies section on wikipedia. Pretty funny stuff, he accidentally pissed off a congregation with his slander and political humor. Also, pornography is, like many other capitalist industries, horribly abusive and vile. It takes advantage and throws away. It is also often consensual and beautiful and genuine. People have a right to have sex how they want and others have a right to watch. Exploitation is a horribly unfortunate biproduct of combining sex with money and greed.

Blasphemy is a victimless crime. The imaginary fiend called "god" was not very forgiving. Jesus did not forgive Jezebel in Revelation 2 but killed her children to teach her a lesson, for one example. Back in the old Testament, the Fiend had Joshua and David massacre people in their towns. Indeed, the Fiend fired Saul and hired David to kill more than Saul was doing. Fortunately that was all mythological and never happened.
