I think the safe answer for the AL Central is 'any of about 15 Detroit Tigers'. That is a hungry, young and talented roster that have tasted success.

For those who followed the O's, Holliday greatly reduced his leg kick at the end of the season and saw some success with that change. I'd expect him to stay with that.

@wiz60555 күн бұрын
For Holliday the leg kick is huge. I'm from Baltimore and didn't miss a game especially when he was called up. I think it had alot to do with the mental part of the game. He is so young and had so many cameras in his face and was in a spotlight from the day he made his debut. Gunnar, adley and so on got to come up and just play their game without everyone in their face 24 7
@jnas21215 күн бұрын
I like to imagine how good that Detroit rotation could be if Jackson Jobe is that dude and chucks some numbers this year. Skubal headlining a rotation backed with Flaherty, Jobe, Olson, and maybe even Casey Mize could be amazing. Tigers are fun.
@mx41595 күн бұрын
Apparently Holliday made some mechanical adjustments in his last series of the season and part of it was reducing the leg kick. He cited Ohtani as inspiration
@JorgeFeliz-v4l5 күн бұрын
He’s a failure no matter how many adjustments he does he not gonna be a star
@taze275 күн бұрын
Yeah he said in batting practice, he emulated Ohtani's swing just as a goof but decided to use it in an actual game and it worked. You gotta get inspiration anywhere you can to succeed, why not get it from the best?

Hyeseong Kim is penciled in bc he’s exceedingly athletic and defensive prodigy and fast AF. He may not put up league average offensive numbers his first year or first half best case scenario, but he’ll adjust eventually. He’s fun to watch. He’s like the infield version of Jung hoo lee. Just need him to not get hurt.
@Ares143 күн бұрын
Jung Hoo Lee was a much better hitter in the KBO though. .766 ops vs .898 ops.. That being said, Dodgers have a great offense already. They really don't need him to hit at an elite level so I get it.

Looking into Nishioka, he was on a team that won a championship. Japanese voters have historically heavily favoured players on winning teams for awards. Might not be a gold glove by the numbers, but I don't know where I'd find that data.

Guys calm down. They’re REALLY really F’ing good! But for God’s sakes people just want to crown them as if they’re going for a 3peat in 25 🤦🏼♂️
