For those who doesn’t say he gets separation…go back and watch the tape closely. Plenty of times where he gets a yard or two ahead of the corner, but he’s also a big time contested pass catcher with extremely good athleticism and hands. He doesn’t always need to separate.

Especially when Penix is late to get him the ball and or throwing errantly he gets the separation for sure. He makes hella good adjustments

Seperation is equally important for the QB's sake though. Without it, a highly accurate pass is required and nfl db's can make plays on the ball without seperation

Biggest issue is separation...? He may be the best separator in the class... you're just seeing a lot of highlight real contested catches because Penix new he was essentially open even if the coverage was tight.

I also don’t understand this negative spin on Micheal Penix or Bo Nix.. i’m glad we have Caleb Williams but I don’t understand why there is like a joking negative spin on these other quarterbacks who look like NFL quarterbacks, they have talent, they are accurate passes, they can play with structure, they are athletic and can make big plays when it breaks down just like these other quarterbacks from LSU and USC. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of these guys turned out to be great or really good NFL quarterbacks
