I think DCFC is starting to reach a point where the biggest issue in EV road tripping is no longer hopping from charger to charger reach the destination, but finding places to charge, once you get there. Simply put, we need level 2 at more hotels, and more level 2 capacity at hotels that already have it. Also, every neighborhood in a large city should have at least some DCFC, even if it's not super-fast. Most college campuses are also not equipped at all to handle a non-trivial number of students living on campus driving EVs, and have limited or no level 2 charging on campus. Similar to hotels, university campuses are places that really should have lots of level 2.

The new fast charging deployments at Beckley and Bluestone Travel Centers offer some hope. The combination of DC America/Lincoln Electric is local and presumably understands the deep need for DCFC in the state. Hoping they can continue the work started at the travel plazas.
