I love when they sing harmony and Chad takes the higher part and Fallon sings lower. It's unusual, so it really stands out with Chad's amazing upper register!

For me, the hardest part of this song is the first couple of lines (most singers don't even really sing that first part) and you hit it out of the park with that part of the song.

I've seen dark before, but not like this This is cold, this is empty, this is numb The life I knew is over, the lights are out Hello, darkness, I'm ready to succumb I follow you around, I always have But you've gone to a place I cannot find This grief has a gravity, it pulls me down But a tiny voice whispers in my mind You are lost, hope is gone But you must go on And do the next right thing Can there be a day beyond this night? I don't know anymore what is true I can't find my direction, I'm all alone The only star that guided me was you How to rise from the floor? But it's not you I'm rising for Just do the next right thing Take a step, step again It is all that I can to do The next right thing I won't look too far ahead It's too much for me to take But break it down to this next breath, this next step This next choice is one that I can make So I'll walk through this night Stumbling blindly toward the light And do the next right thing And, with it done, what comes then? When it's clear that everything will never be the same again Then I'll make the choice to hear that voice And do the next right thing

This version made me thought of One Thing, the girl is Anna singing as she grieves for Elsa and Olaf and she must make her choices to stand up. And the guy is Jack Frost, singing for Elsa, probably blaming himself at first for he couldn't protect Elsa, but would later stand up to do the next right thing with Anna.

Hey there! I wanted to msg you just in the rare chance you would reply. I love your acoustic version of this song The Next Right Thing and my sister and I want to sing/play it for my late Mother's memorial this summer. My Mom passed away a month ago and music has been my saving grace for helping get through the grief. Would it be possible to get (or purchase) the guitar chord structure and/or sheet music for your beautiful cover?

EUPHEMISMS The conversation with grandma shifted to the mother in labour who died after being moved between four hospitals because they thought she had Covid19 [my sincere condolences to the family]. She said the woman died on the floor. The official report said, “She was found unresponsive on the “floor”. Turns out that like “Boots on the ground”, “Grassroots people” etc. “floor” wasn’t the concrete tile surface but ‘floor’ as in the 1st, 2nd… floor, ward locale. Our Bible is full of euphemisms - like “the Blood of JESUS” (KJV) - “the sacrificial death of JESUS” (GNT). “Drinking the blood of JESUS” - means we accept the sacrificial gift as payment for our sins and believe we are free.

Why would you sing Frozen 2 songs when you're supposedly Christians?
@rafaellawaasdorp10334 жыл бұрын
What does that have to do with it 😂
@hopeinhimjesus71074 жыл бұрын
As Christians we can take any song and sing it for the Lord's glory, sing it to deliver a new message in a new way, even if we must change the lyrics to sing it. Christians go through dark times too. During those times, God is that "tiny voice that whispers in my mind," that "you must go on and do the next right thing." We cry out to God, some of these very lyrics in this song. He is the Light that guides us to do "the next right thing." He doesn't tell us Hope is gone, because He's our Hope; but He will have empathy with our having felt those things they sing. Make sense?
