What is/was cool about Retro Bowl, is that you paid a few bucks and got a game with regular updates and it functioned well. Those New Star guys have said over and over that they wouldn't add things to the game if it made it too complicated, so they have got to have their mind on that. They aren't going to add defensive play calling or 52 man rosters. So i think if they stick close to those principles they will do fine.

I think the stars above DEF players can be useful. I play on extreme and often there's an EXCEPTIONALLY fast DB that will blitz and it would be nice to be able to have a better eye on that player

I think the reason some backup QBs are shown in the screenshots is that you can choose what player you want at each position. If you want to play with a different style, you could pick a different QB to fit that style better. Just some thoughts 🤷‍♂

If they do anything like BTD6 then the difference between the Apple Arcade game vs the regular would be only just that Apple Arcade wouldn't have any paywalls and everything is earned via in game playing. In BTD6 they have chest which you can open through earning gold, or just buying it. However, in the Apple Arcade version there isn't a pay option so the in game earning is just jacked to the tits.

Apple is absolutely covering the licensing fee for this. New Star could not afford the license on there own. the only way it comes to Android is if Google gets involved. I don't see how this could make enough money for new start to possibly do this on there own.

Just because someone’s in the game doesn’t mean they’re allowed to be used in the marketing for the game-as a previous Madden cover athlete, Mahomes might not be able to be in the screenshots for Retro Bowl. I know baseball games work the same way-because Mike Trout is the “cover guy” for an MLB app game, they’re not allowed to use him in marketing for MLB The Show, even though he’s in the game.
