Another successful finish. Hmmm...black metal railings next? Maybe some wood trim added to match steps? Y'all keep us guessing. 😁

I would think about doing the same thing at the opposite end of the porch so you would have easy access to that area of the yard. Maybe something to think about as a later project. Good job!!

Hi Doug & Evee. I’ve been watching you guys for years. I put the exact stairs on my deck this past summer by myself & I’m a senior. It took me a very long time,but it worked. The holes were a nightmare. 😂

Looks great! Love all the reasons for the step relocation. Traffic flow is important. Love the metal stringers. Gives openness. Some suggested moving the slab with your equipment... I know you will absolutely reuse it. Maybe the back door or another building? Excellent work. I love that we work the same... mini projects between other projects, 👍🏼

There’s something called “Gravel-Lok”. It’s an epoxy or resin of some kind that you use to keep your gravel in place. You do good work. 😃

I would replace the older degraded steps with a new matching set for secondary access. And a gutter for the dripping. The metal stringers and wood steps look very nice! 🦩
@johnpoole2912Сағат бұрын
Doug, the stairs look great. You may want to do the same thing for the original stairs. My reasoning for that is that it gives you options, especially if you're moving large items, furniture, lumber, etc. Thus avoiding that tight turn. Since you have the pad there, why not. I recently saw something called "Petramax Rock Glue". You may want to see if it may be something you might want to use. Just a few thoughts. As always, keep up the good work. Peace ✌️

I built stairs for my back porch from the same metal frames. I screwed from the bottom using a flexible drill bit extension - it was pain to do and I wouldn't recommend it for getting a secure long lasting connection. I think I'll be switching to carriage bolts soon.

The new stairs look beautiful. Could you put the same type steps on the other side and have two entries? Isn't the location of the old stairs in the same part of the property where the garage is going to go? At least you could have an entry way from the garage to the house.
