Carrying the flag for a generation of music lovers that I suppose wouldn't naturally choose this genre , you're both providing an essential service... passion for Prog lives on !! Tara , you know my love for the Fish -era of Marillion... awesome once again. And Cody , Discipline King Crimson.. wow it is fabulous.. Sheltering Sky. It is wicked. The Gabriel 3 Melt album one of the first albums I ever bought , after hearing Games without Frontiers... but I didn't become a Prog obsessive until Marillion made me wake up !! Maybe you need to go round the schools and educate the youngsters on some of the best music ever made ! Cheers guys , great video !! 😍

First off, Part One of this was excellent. Lots of great information. I think good "next steps" might include things like Saga - "Worlds Apart", King Crimson - "Discipline", Kansas "Song For America" and Yes "Going For The One".

These are all good albums, of course, though I'd have chosen "Misplaced Childhood" as a good starting point where Marillion is concerned. I adore "Fugazi" but it's a bit of a wild ride musically for beginners, and Script though good sounds anemic compared to the later albums with Fish. Also, I had to pass through "Hounds of Love" before I could've accepted The Dreaming, much as I hate to admit it. I have all Kate's albums now and love each of them in their way, but The Dreaming was a bit of a shock at the time I first heard it. otoh, I believe Pictures at an Exhibition is not at all extreme for an ELP album. Perhaps because I was already acclimated to Russian composers and ELP's style though, on first hearing -- because I'd already experienced Tarkus at the time.

Kate Bush was discovered by David Gilmour when she was 16. I remember when Wuthering Heights came out in 77 she was all over the radio here in Australia and went to number one.

Breakfast in America is very good but I believe that most groups that have several albums there's always a masterpiece and Supertramp's is Crime of the Century in my opinion. 😎👍
