Pangea, is the only time we would ever have had or will have a super continent. Each continent is on a separate plate. When the plates broke up, billions of years ago, they didn't magically fuse back together. Even if and when the land of the continents collide, it won't create new continents or form them into one, it will still be separate plates. Here's something you didn't know... it isn't simply on the Atlantic side where everything fits together like a puzzle. Look at the shapes on the pacific side, they also fit together like a puzzle which implies that rather than continents drifting, the land broke apart and expanded as the Earth cooled. The only thing that's questionable really, is where the ocean water came from.

In reverse order-the water came from the Kuiper Belt; the “cracks” don’t show the shape of the continental plates, they show where the plates meet (every subduction zone has parts of one plate under another plate, creating the illusion of a perfect fit); and, most importantly, both you and the presenter here have missed out on the primary cause of plate tectonics today-the Moon. Because of the size of the Moon relative to Earth, the barycentre of the Earth-Moon system is within the mantle layer of the Earth, which is a semi-viscous rock structure. This creates something akin to tidal forces in water that generates kinetic energy-movement inside the mantle-that replenishes the kinetic energy lost through melting the rock of the mantle. That’s why Venus & Mars no longer have active tectonic activity and the Earth does. As long as the Moon stays close enough to cause tidal forces, the Earth will continue to have tectonic movement. As the Moon slowly drifts away from the Earth, the movement will slow down and eventually stop altogether.

I wonder what happens when the land masses move and cause the earth to become imbalanced in its rotation Or is it that earth gets an imbalance from something else in space and then the landmasses move accordingly

Meaning full question. Imbalance happens repeatedly when earthquakes take place.

It's already happening, about 2cm per year. Australia moves the fastest with 5cm per year.

Depends upon the speed of the continents movement. It can be 100s of millions of year or few million years
