This was so good! It was great to hear Hakstol, Francis, and McCann talking about last year, and what they're hoping for with this year. And a great introduction to Bjorkstrand, who's been terrific -- so excited to have him in Seattle! 2021-2022 was a rough time in so many people's lives. The exhaustion from COVID and all the changes we'd all had to make was grueling. Having a brand-new NHL franchise in town was wonderful. Even though we didn't win as many games as I might have hoped for, the guys gave me something to appreciate every single night, whether it was a great play or just their hustle on the ice. I don't know if they realize how much some of us needed that, and it was so great when things were clicking and we had a win. Also, can't leave a comment without complimenting the social media folks, who were ON IT all season! There was always something new to see or a new clip to watch, and sometimes the humor was above and beyond (the Instagram story for the first... and second... shorthanded goals come to mind; I saved those!). We hungered for more content and y'all provided it. So thankful for that, and so excited for this year!
