Welcome to the pilot episode of the podcast I'm starting on my channel! Starring Mr. Bald and Bankrupt himself. The plan for this podcast is for me to upload at least one or two episodes a month, with each episode featuring a new (or returning guest). Hope you enjoy it! Keep in mind that this is my first attempt at podcasting and it might be slightly rough, but I'm obviously going to get better. Make sure to leave feedback and constructive criticism on how I can improve the future episodes. Few notes: you may notice Bald's camera and audio go out of sync ever so often and then come back together, and in rare moments his audio lags for a little bit - that is probably an issue of Bald's Wi-Fi connection at his hotel. I think it's pretty watchable anyway, and most people probably only listen to podcasts like these instead of actually sitting there and looking at our faces. Decided to have minimal to no editing on this, as I feel like our conversation flow was pretty good to begin with.

Ah, working from home! So convenient that you can turn on the KZbinrs and waste time, instead of working. That always happens with people who work from home. Maybe KZbinrs, or that room that needs a clean, or just popping out to do some grocery shopping, or baby sitting, or taking the dog for a walk, etc. If I owned a company, no one would be working from home (other than in emergencies like CoVid when governments get carried away and become dictators).

Dude yeah I totally agree. I often would have fears of getting older and not being able to do the things I can when I’m young, but bald shows that you can do it at any age. Plus, when you’re older, you’re more confident in yourself, less angsty, and generally less depressed and unsure of everything. I’m definitely looking forward to those aspects of being older, as someone who has huge problems with anxiety, social insecurity, depression, etc etc. as I age I’ve gotten less insecure and more sure of myself (even though I still have huge issues) And it’s not like I’m old at all, I’m only 21, but it’s already quite a bit better than being a teenager, in terms of mental health

Life stops at 30 until you reach 30 Life stops at 40 until you reach 40 In reality, life stops when you give up on it. When you don't want to do anything more and you lay down and give up. A man who is 40 could be more alive than someone who has settled at 20. Keep the flame of life alive, do new things, talk to new people, expand your horizon both figuratively and literally, and life won't stop until the last person says your name fondly in memory, which if you live life to its fullest could be never.

Indeed. I'm 66. I SUP and canoe rivers, and so do my friends who are all near my age. A few are older and kayak class 3 + water. Thirty years of operating and working a landscape business helped me stay in shape, but also caused some wear and tear on the body. When I travel it is with a backpack the size of a carry-on. Hello Ben, I have to tell you that you are a special man as an Englishman, I find it after watching most of your videos. I am much older than you because I have lived in Canada, Ontario for over thirty years and have had the opportunity to meet a lot of British people, which is why I say you have a unique personality. You show tenderness and compassion for human fate, it is clearly visible from your travels around the Soviet countries, and at the same time, you maintain a great serenity and a sense of good humor, which does not show any mockery of their poverty, but rather a compassion. Your videos are also a beautiful history lesson that shows how political systems treat people, using them in a brutal way to achieve their sick ideologies that I hope will awaken this reality in the hearts of many young people. It would be great to meet you in person, I wish you many new adventures, although it is very difficult in these times of darkness and political terror, keep this well-being and your innate serenity. My 2 cents about 'life' around your 20's. I'm 29 now, almost 30. Dutch. Very broadly interested in everything. In my eyes, most people don't know what to do at this age. Only recently I've started to become more relaxed in the fact that I didn't find my passion. But earning some money to at least live a good life, is in my opinion the most important thing. Anything can become your passion if you're only mildly open minded. Just do anything when it comes to work. You'll know when you don't like it soon enough. Then just quit. And if you do like it, continue. That's all to it mate. Don't overthink passions or future years. You can't predict most of it anyways. Just start anywhere. You'll get there mate. You're smart and open minded.

enjoyed the chat. Roman, you have to let your guest speak. Listen to your guests, it's all about your guest. It was kind of frustrating when he mentioned he had married and then you cut him off to make a comment, but when he started talking again he did not mention his family. I would have liked to hear about his marriage etc., You did that a few times. especially at those times, he was really animated in his speaking at those moments. Anyway, it is your first podcast, so good job.

Like Bald, i spent decades traveling both for business and pleasure, but to be honest, more for business. After all those years, although there are experiences I wouldn't trade for anything, I came to a conclusion. Travel is glamorous to two kinds of people; those who've never REALLY done it, and crazy people. I'm now living a simpler, more sedentary life the past 5 years or so and am very content and comfortable doing so. And thankful for the memories.

100% agree, it was frustrating that he kept interjecting and hijacking things when Bald was mid-sentence. Learning to listen and have patience to speak your mind is a life skill that often comes with time though. And if you are going to interject, keep it to a word or 3 that helps the story or clarifies something but is short enough that the guest can carry on right away. Don't stop them with telling your own story.

What are the most recommended places there?
@kms505493 жыл бұрын
@@patrick1992 Depends what you like Tbilisi is the cultural and creative centre. decent nightlife, interesting unique bars and restaurants, busy and full of energy. Signagi is a quaint small town famous for making wine (Georgia has the oldest history of wine making in world) beautiful hills and attractive small town with old village European, almost Mediterranean vibe. very relaxed. kazbegi is worth a day trip, even if your not a person with a big interest in hiking, stunning mountains and a beautiful little church on top one of the mountains which is very popular with both domestic and international visitors. (although it gets busy) if you really want to see mountains properly though Svaneti region is a bit more rugged and dramatic. I did a four day hike from Mestia to Ushguli. Incredible hike; glaciers, giant wild flower meadows, river crossing on horseback, beautiful tiny Villages to stop at on each leg of the journey, unique style of architecture only seen in caucus mountain region (many houses have individual medieval castle style turrets). some of the towns are just randomly overrun with herds of cattle. The people are warm, hospitable and welcoming as well as being very rugged. Young Kids riding up mountains on horse back, your host (if you stay in family home/B&B style accommodation) may invite you for a drink of Cha cha which is a local distilled alcoholic drink, strong and best home brewed. Batumi is a modern costal town on the black sea with crazy levels of development now. modern, attractive filled with nice new Skyscrappers and a decent holiday resort type town. mainly filled with Russian tourists. other places to consider are Batumi, Gori (for joseph Stalin Museum) and Davit Gareji Monastery.

Mr. Bald is a good, respectful, patient listener, such a very polite British gentleman. He listens very carefully and kindly waits Roman to finish sentence. He is careful not to interrupt Roman. When he wants to say something, he asks "can I say something?' - wow... “Am I taking up a lot of time...?” Please ramble on, Mr. Bold, everyone here is so keen to listen to your stories - funny, silly, serious, sad, anything.
