I have an answer along with a potentially great idea for an off-season video. It won't take as much work as it might at first seem. If he gets to start, Justin Fields. This will take some 'splaining, right? 1) Your own video on how that one quarter (& Todd Bowles) changed defenses. Russ hasn't been doing well for years. So Fields may get a chance to start (assuming Tomlin &/or Smith can actually assess QB talent, which I actually doubt). 2) For the second time in two years when Getsy got more control over the offense it improved drastically. The _first time_ the Bears led the league in offense 3 weeks straight. Allow me to put that into context. Jalen Hurst had The Best O-line in the league & a top-3 WR duo. Burrow had the only WR _trio!_ Allen & Mahomes were in the league. But with one of The _Worst_ o-lines & a receiving corps that consisted of a TE who had not become a good receiver yet & the top-2 WRs known more for their drops than catches, _Fields_ is the one who broke offensive records. He also tossed all of 5 fewer TDs than Hurts who was in the MVP discussion with his advantages. & while this was a long digression it is incomplete, I'll move on. 3) Caleb Williams is Justin Fields _Lite_ if anything kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3uyYoOpqtV5lbc. This is my idea for a video that can grow your channel. If you can find the footage of Fields duplicating Williams' best feats but *in the **_NFL_* that would garner much attention. 4) "He can't read defenses" was always a completely made-up myth. So Sayeth Herr Kollmann & he even backed up this assertion with stats kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6bLhpV_iNOlbtU. Now whether you think this is something that can or can't be _taught,_ seeing that Fields had this ability at ANY TIME in his life forces anyone who wants to believe that he doesn't have it now to explain where he left it. Last I checked, he had no lobotomy scars. I don't think that any QB has ever suffered more from social media BS. Other QBs have had unjust things said about the. Fields had the play-calling Visibly Sabotage Him On Camera & got the blame for all of it until he is no longer a starter. But if he has all the same skills at the same skill *level* as The second Coming & _can indeed read defenses,_ then he's easily a top-7 *starting QB,* no? So this may be the only off-season such a video might be relevant & if he ever _gets_ to start again, you'd look like a God of NFL Analysis. So that's my suggestion for a video idea. One other thing: how does PFF rate o-line play? Like there are games where the QB gets a rating that's somehow lower that "if they had just thrown the ball at the ground." Does PFF even take into account when the o-line just ignores pass-rushers? I ask this because when I see videos about how an o-line or one player on it sucks, I see them whiff badly on blocks. But they do get their hands on the defenders. There are minimum 5 plays kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJrMfGVni998ldE featuring at least 7 defenders getting through to Fields completely untouched over just the plays shown there in the first 23 minutes featuring only half of one game. W T F? Is that going unnoticed because there is no grading it? Also look at 22.45. Have you _ever seen_ such a play? & the narrator says at some point "all of these happen multiple times in this game, but I'm not gonna point out every time it happens." There's another one I forgot to keep the link to where you see Fields lean over to his C, point right at the unblocked defender he's bringing his attention to & when the ball is snapped, the C runs the other way allowing you guessed it, that very pass-rusher Fields pointed out to sack him immediately. You even see fields gesture at the C with a "wtf?" I think that this has gone suspiciously unnoticed & there being no rating system keeping track of it might be part of the reason why. Unless I'm wrong & that's normal on every team.

I think what makes sense for all three of these teams would be signing Brissett in ADDITION to drafting one of the B tier (Nix, McCarthy, Penix) QBs in the class. Then you can have a competitive team in 2024 but still have a cost controlled option for the future.

To play devils advocate, if one of the pluses of a rookie QB is a rookie contract, I would probably want them to play for all 4 years that they’re cheap. And also just personal preference, but I’m not particularly high on Nix or Penix compared to any other class, there will be prospects of the same caliber for years down the road. If you’re a team like the Falcons or Vikings you’ve got a good shot to get one of the best non quarterbacks in the draft this year and that’s something I’d want to pounce on! But I understand the desire to get younger at the position

@@dr.pigskin but jordan love 🤔
@dr.pigskin6 ай бұрын
@@cadenoconnor6806 cases like Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes are the exception imo, especially Love. He didn’t play for 3 full seasons! Obviously, it worked out, and I’m not gonna criticize the Packers for it, but man they are lucky it did otherwise that would have been a disaster. It’s a good thing he looked as good as he did this year otherwise the Packers would’ve had to make a massive financial decision on him based off 1 season of play

Maybe Denver could use him too. With all that dead cap they can use a cheap veteran like him in addition to potentially drafting a QB
@dr.pigskin6 ай бұрын
Denver would be a great fit too! Sean Payton cooked with Teddy Bridgewater, Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston, I think he would have something up his sleeve with Jacoby
