Couldnt agree more w/ this comment. I want Beige to blowup cause I think he deserves it cause his content is just so damn good, Only BF could make a Contrapoints Documentary interesting, but its also kinda cool for his fans that we have this below the radar content creator who just produces such great content. Porsalin is also in that box I think. But I mean Beige produces so much more than him that might not be a super apt comparison.
@subgrappling8052 жыл бұрын
@@BWalsh737 Although Porsalin got caught up in a lot of drama going after Owen and the bears, along with Rogan and his retarded cohorts, and stopped making content for a while…I think it’s a perfectly appropriate comparison. Both Porsalin and Beige emerged from the O&A meltdown ashes and covered the demise and subsequent various iterations and nonsense from the players involved in spectacular fashion. The contributions of both were a nice accompaniment to TefftPattern and his extensive coverage of the meltdown. All 3 of these content creators did a great service for a lot of us long-time fans of that world…at a time completely devoid of decent entertainment from any of that bunch. Personally, I’ll always enjoy, support and have a special place in my heart and mind for all 3 of them…and for that entire community. Those were great times for many years and the coverage of the situation and entertainment these creators produced provided the laughs that I needed at a time when they felt hard to come by and few & far between. For that…I have endless gratitude and appreciation. Since Beige has gotten in to the in-depth MMA coverage he’s proven to be a thoughtful and solid analyst of a sport I’ve loved from its earliest of moments…and even further back if you want to count the Pancrase, K1, Sambo and other random fighting events I was ordering on PPV back in the late 80’s/early 90’s in the lead up to UFC 1 and the beginning of the current train’s momentum. Thanks for throwing in your thoughts on my comment…it triggered a trip down Memory Lane, numerous memories of great times, laughs and times spent in various chat rooms discussing the events going on at the time. My favorite moment of the fight was when Cyril decided to give up the mount position to try and leglock Ngannou, who only looked mildly inconvenienced by the fact that a 240lbs giant was tugging on his ankle. After getting ragdolled and out-wrestled in rounds 3 & 4, you'd think he'd try to keep the fight standing, but I guess Francis' pressure is just that intense that you'd rather have him papa bear smother you on the ground rather than dealing with the MiG-25s that fly around your head if you keep it standing.
@BeigeFrequency2 жыл бұрын
Funnily enough eric nicksick talked about this on the MMA hour. Before the fight Francis said that Gane would try to heelhook/leglock him because in the past, a coach at the mma factory had specifically pointed out Ngannou's feet and how easy it would be heelhook him. So they actually trained against that.

I think It was very smart of cyril to do that. Acting like that takedown was an easy feat is stupid. Shit take.

The fight with Gane has changed my opinion on Francis, I still love Gane but holy shit, Francis was built up to be the UFCs cash cow, and they switch on him so quick and it was beautiful to watch a man without a knee become a nurmagomedov for one night to scrape a win away from the new apple of Danas eye and make the UFC look stupid in the process, hats off to Francis for this one
@closinginonclosure2 жыл бұрын
9:22 That champions clause isn't speculation. Dana has addressed it specifically in recent interviews. Stating that it's part of his contract and even though he's fought all of the fights in his deal. If you're champion and your deal is up. You're still contractually obligated to fight 1 more fight as champion before he can get out of his contract and move on. Also, regarding the "freedom" Francis wants. I don't see Dana ever letting that happen. Francis wants to fight for the UFC and also be free to fight anywhere else he wants while in the UFC. Not only does that present schedule problems. Or what if Francis goes and boxes and gets injured and then can fulfill a UFC fight in the time frame they want. If Dana let's Francis have that luxury, every other UFC fighter will want the same. It's too problematic. I don't see Francis staying with the UFC.
@apollo1052 жыл бұрын
Boxing already does everything Francis is asking for. There are different federations and boxers can hold multiple titles at one time. Its not that black and white also considering the fighters are still independent contractors
@closinginonclosure2 жыл бұрын
@@apollo105 Yes, I'm aware of the manner in which boxing operates has has for decades. But tge structure is quite a bit different than MMA. All boxers aren't under 1 umbrella. Boxers are much closer to independent contractors. Obviously UFC fighters are considered independent contractors too. But boxing is much more spread out and not under 1 umbrella like the UFC. They're are several promotors in boxing and guys aren't all fighting under one company. So the UFC and it's structure are quite a bit different.

@@BeigeFrequency Yes, that's because until the Last few months, Fernand Lopez was mostly talking to French media, so people in the US didn't pay attention. However, the beef really started in 2018, when Francis was everyone's punching bag after those 2 losses to Stipe and Lewis. Dana threw him under the bus at the UFC 226 post fight press conference, saying he's got an oversized ego and then a few days later, Fernand Lopez also said the same thing.
