Honestly I would find it hard to believe that we didn't all think "Utah HC" sounds like every European football teams that just names their teams "Inter/Real (Enter city name here) FC/City/United". That being said, I don't hate it. It's very European, and the fact it's the only city doing this in NHL hockey makes it unique, despite the commonness of it in Europe. Same reason i really liked that weird period where the Washington Commanders called themselves the "Washington Football Team". Although it felt like a missed opportunity to do the funniest thing and REALLY piss off the Europeans by calling it "Washington FC"

I’m in Utah but really hope we can get a better name next year haha. Anyway, it’s my first season with hockey, and it seems like a super fun time.

I'm happy with Cole Caufield and Lane Hutson. Both have looked elite. Especially Hutson. He's had 4 assists in his last 2 games as a rookie. Give him pp1 minutes. And I think the Calder is calling. I won't say Caufield wins the Rocket. I think he could be top 15-7 in goals. But im no rocket. I think it's still matthews or pasta

@moira4707 It's definitely been a minute. But to me at least, Cole Caufield looks exactly like how he did in 2022-23. In 2023-24 he couldn't snipe like this. He also wasn't really playing as a one tee on pp1. He was more a rebound chaser infront which didn't really work out. I see him hit 35-45 goals this year. Which to me is a good season.

I live across the street from the Delta Center where Utah plays. I'm trying to keep my hopes reasonable, but they genuinely look way better than I thought they would. Seeing the state rallying to support them has been pretty cool. I was there opening night vs the hawks; whole different atmosphere in that stadium than when the Jazz play there (might as well be at a funeral most of the time lol). That team and the early wins have brought a much needed vibe to town so far.

This is such a fun start to the season. Seems like no top teams are safe. Lots of great highlights I think this season we might see a shake up of the "hierarchy" Utah and the Sens are looking good, the Preds worry me (as a Canucks fan) once the Wild get going, yikes.
