First of all just wanted to say sick edit man! Love your videos and I surf often in SD so I love watching your videos! I had 2 questions for you. First does it ever hurt when you don't make it out of the barrel sections? Second, what are some tips you can give a less experienced surfer like myself for getting over the fear of dropping in on overhead barreling waves? Thanks! +Jonathan Supple Thanks Johnny! Pain and barrel hunting go hand-in-hand, haha. Obviously the smaller the barrel, the less consequence. If you mean does it hurt with a mouth mount, then the answer almost never, but surfing with a GoPro has its inherent risks. To get over the fear you just have accept the fact that you're going to get worked, so go for it until you get used to it. But, you do have to absolutely commit 100% to dropping in. You can't be tentative on heavy waves.

I'm about to order the solo shot because of one of your videos Super sickk. For now I still only got my gopro tho lol. What field of view do you use? Im using wide right now but the waves look warped and look half the size that they actually are..

Casey Chai wide, for sure. Narrow will crop out too much if you try to use it.
