Today, we'll take a look at my full collection of EDC gear, watches, knives, pens, and lights, and I'll show you the gems that have stuck around, and talk a bit about them.

The relevant security measures aren't shown here, and not everything lives constantly in the chest, with some rotation in and out of the safe. But you're right, careful consideration is wise.

@@oldskoolhoss7534 so very true...however, I keep it simple...I own and carry 3 things: A Glock 19, a Spyderco PM 2 and a Rolex Sub. The PM 2 replaced a 20 year old Police model. No tool chest necessary!

When I was a kid, it gave me great joy to show visitors or family members my current treasures. Never things of great value. But, things that for the moment had captured my fascination. Maybe a piece of glassy rock that I would never know how it was formed. Maybe an Indian head penny I had found in change. Or a magnet I had pried out of a junk speaker. Something tells me Nick was a similar kinda kid and that he gets the most pleasure from his collection videos. It occures to me that Nick is not a hoarder. He keeps these things only as long as they continue to fascinate him.

Fun fact: Harbor Freight makes a knock-off version of that tool chest that I just so happened to buy a few weeks ago, and lo and be hold it shows up the same day this review drops lol. It is very obviously lower quality, but basically the same size/configuration and as such a good option for anyone looking for a cheaper but still nice-ish way to store their gear.

I have 5 knives, FIVE, I no longer think I have an issue :-) One Spyderco with M4 blade and Titanium handle, also two Lagouiles because French heritage -Green Camel Bone handle, with 12C27 Sandvik steel blade, and Pistachio Wood Handle with T12 Forged Steel, and a Baby Gerber -because it is still legal carry in the U K. Not forgetting my Leatherman Wave.

Hey Nick. Keepin the folders open will preserve the springiness in the folders. That part of the steel that is compressed in the closed position over a long time in storage may reduce it ya know

I’ve never thought about getting into watches, I have a Apple Watch for everyday life, a SWATCH for formal occasions, and a Gshock for VMI. Now I kinda do wanna get into watches, but I’m not a knife snob so I wouldn’t be a watch snob but I do like a nice watch

You need at least 1 bark river and 1 LT wright. I like to carry small fixed blades as as an EDC in my rotation often. I absolutely love my LT wright prong horn in 3-v & my Bark river mini bush crafter & mini Aurora in 3-v as well. I love them fixed blades too Nicky baby...

Citizen is super underrated as a watch brand, I have the RAF SE Eco drive and it's scarily good. I originally thought it was pricey (around $400) but it performs as well as all the top brand watches, and in my opinion looks better too.

Thanks! Contrary to what you may think, it's always nice to stay up to date on what Batman is carrying. For my use it's probably the second most relevant source of advice after Indiana Jones, but he never does EDC updates any more. Keep it up, and you just might pull ahead 😉

Great vid, and an excellent presentation of some of the best edc out there. On a side note I recently got a PM2 micarta scale from RC Bladeworks and it only took few days to be delivered. Maybe because it was for PM2 it was readily available, either way he does really nice work.

First, I think it's great you have a picture of your dad inside your box watching over your collection. Second, WWTND (What Would The Nick Do): Slysz Bowie for just under $400 or a SpydieChef for around $250. (These are Japan prices at my favorite Tokyo knife shop. The knives are both new.)

Not one USA Kershaw? The Blur s30v is awesome in every way. I’d take it over any Spyderco even if they were the same price. The speedsafe system is objectively superior-faster, safer, easier. The grippy ergos are unmatched. The blade design is perfect. The blur is great, even if 90 million have been sold on amazon.
