You mentioned that by rubbing the paws it's getting them prepared for future grooming. Do you also expose them to a blow dryer for the sound and the air combination? I know you do sound exposure, but I didn't know about the sound/air combination. I watch some grooming channels and some dogs don't seem to like the air blowing on them from the dryer.

Yes!!! I love doing this also! And I tell parents when they get home, if they blow dry their hair. Have the puppy in the bathroom with you so they keep getting used to it. Great ideas!!!

So cute!! I just want to pass on a tip for bathing! I put a tablespoon of shampoo in a 1/2-gallon pitcher of warm water. Then I wet the dogs down and pour the pitcher of warm soapy water all over their fur. It spreads the shampoo around very evenly and is much easier to rinse! 🛀🐕

Honey has gotten so big and is cute as a button! It's so bittersweet when it's go home time...their new families are going to love them so much but I hate that they have to separate from their siblings. They are all so cute I don't know how you let any of them go...

I definitely think going back to their family helps a lot, but a handful of our dogs are little more emotional and can be more sensitive. So it takes them a few days.

Introduce at a distance first and reward when it sounds. Repeat this ever a month or so bringing the sound closer and closer. Your pup will start to associate the sound with a good treat and it won't be bad for them. Take your time and make sure to pay attention to your dogs body language and process as necessary. Hope this helps

Definitely work with a reward based system. And comfort them while working from a distance to closer. I would suggest also trying out Baxter’s and Bella’s training program. They are amazing at helping too.
