The Night King - Game of Thrones: Season 8 (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
You wanted "The Night King" from "Game of Thrones: Season 8", now you get it. This track reminds me a lot of "Light of the Seven". Typical of the composer Ramin Djawadi is once again the use of very simple themes, coupled with slightly dissonant sounds. My arrangement is a bit simpler this time (except the end) because I think that virtuoso elements would not serve the character of this piece. I hope you enjoy it!
Any suggestions for future arrangements? Please leave them in the comments.

What I loved about this piece is that I don't think it was meant to emphasize the dread associated with the Night King. Rather, I think the piece illustrates the sense of clarity that some apparently find when encountering death. It was really in line with what most of the characters were experiencing in the Battle of Winterfell, most were cornered, with no choice but to fight. Hope may have been lost, but they just couldn't afford to be scared. And this is why we love Ramin Djawadi.

What an intriguing title for a piano version! The Night King theme from Game of Thrones has such a haunting and memorable melody. It's amazing to think about how music can capture the essence of a character or a scene so powerfully. The piano, with its versatility and emotional range, must bring a unique and profound depth to this piece. It's always fascinating to see how iconic themes can be transformed and experienced anew through different musical interpretations. 🎹✨

You look out a glass pane as the sky slowly darkens. You see a figure walking slowly oh so slowly and you notice that a light flurry of snow followed him. It's a slow cold dread, what you feel as you watch on. Your looking at it through glass, if you reach out you can almost touch the flurry of white soft snow. You see more figures as the snow grows thicker and the sky darker. It's all blue and white, the world outside the glass. Its hauntingly beautiful, the still quiet, but something in the air makes the hair on the back of your neck stand. You see a reflection in the glass, you turn to see him, the first figure. He just stares at you unmoving as you shiver suddenly cold. He unsheath's a sword made of ice looking you down and moves so swiftly you cant react and the world turns black as the night that had fallen.

This beautiful, epic piece of music, the tension when Bran looks at the NK.... you expect a big revelation that will explain everything, everything will make sense... this is what you waited like 10 years for.... and then... it all falls to pieces. It's like an amazing looking cake, the best you've ever seen, and it turns out to taste like shit. Just feels like cockblock and blue balls. So sad.

Almost a year later and I still feel the same about season 8. I loved it. I thought everything happened the way it was supposed to. After everything, this show changed television without a doubt. Every season was phenomenal in itself. I hope now that all is said and done, fans will be able to look back on the show and understand that game of thrones was forever an unpredictable - heart wrenching - breath taker of a beast.
@miles8385
@miles8385 4 жыл бұрын
I liked it, but I felt like it could have been better. I think compressing the conclusion of the "long night" arc and the "game of thrones" arc into one season was a mistake, because it left both of them feeling underdeveloped. That said, I also understand that having them in separate seasons would have problems as well. The army of the dead was such a cool part of the story I think people wouldn't really have cared about another season of 'just' human armies and dragons. And for them to end Daenerys' story the way the wanted to, they had to have it happen after the army of the dead.

I love this song- the last 30 seconds of it is the ringtone on my phone (the really dramatic part). When it's at the other end of the house and it rings I have to run to grab it, and I feel like Theon charging the Night King. I also manage to get stabbed through the heart by the debt collectors at the other end of the line too, except there is no Arya who teleports in at the last moment to save the day.

This one in particular sounds like he broke the main theme into two separate songs towards the end. One's constantly throwing it's notes in an upswing, and the other returning down to the same monotonous pattern, both duking it out in a massive crescendo. Dude literally made the Song of Ice and Fire.

Hello! Im in the process of studying it right now, but I have a huge technical block, maybe you could help me. Its when in the right hand, there is a triole, while in the left there is a quarter note with two eighth notes. (It appears first in the 78th bar, 2:56 in the video) I dont understand, because one triple should be the same lenght as one quarter note, but in the sheet it takes two notes. Therefore I'm struggling to keep the rhythm and count. I would be so so grateful if you could help me with this Thank you in advance :))
