Really enjoyed the video, but I have one question. Didn't Beric Dondarrion had the power to imitate the power of the sword lightbringer (at least in the show). Since Dondarrion can create such a weapon trough the will of the lord of light, sacrificing Daenerys would be pointless. John is clearly favored by the lord of light, because, like you said, he is probably the hero from the legend. The favour he has gained, by returning to land of the living, might mean that the cicle was broken. That, in my opinion, would also be a good twist.

Bran is the true key in defeating the night king. He travels to past in order to shape future to his/man's advantage. Bran is part of the past from the present. Every time he looks into past he's is not changing. So, in any case what has happened till date won't be changed as Hodor was the same but reason why he was changed from Willis to Hodor is something very interesting which I think Bran can do and it is his ultimate power. Maybe he can create some weakness in the night king by going in the past which he can only remember when he's in the present or for now in the future which makes bran dangerous.The night king is aware of bran will eventually know about this and kill him since it has already happened but bran doesnt know this and the night king does. So, night king wants to kill bran at all cost before he reaches the point when bran does trick just like he did on hodor, only this time its on the night king. Also, he didn't know why Hodor changed from Willis to Hodor until he actually reaches the time when he "influences something in future by remaining in the past". So, bran will not know about night the king's weakness (ways to kill him which bran will create) until the time comes when he's in past and influences future. Maybe bran's the one who puts ideas in people's mind about the wall and hence it got built. Also, there are a lot of events that might have been actually influenced by bran so that it is reflected in the time line

Okay so, Bran goes back to the time when Children of the Forest were making the Night King and thinks this would all be solved if he stops them from creating him in the first place. But they cant see him, so he becomes one of the men and tries to convince the children of the forest. BUT they see him, tie him and make him the Night King. BOOM. There's no other theory as legit as this. BRAN IS THE NIGHT KING.

Well that's the way it is. One thing that we all can be sure of is that Bran is the Night King and to defeat the White Walkers Jon will have to kill Bran. As far as the creation is concerned, Children of the Forest created white walkers to defeat the men. Bran's interference turned his inner self into the night king. Bran was warging a man to manipulate the Children into not creating the white walkers. But he couldn't stop them and the man was stabbed with the dragon glass into his heart. Since Bran was warging this man, he is the actual Night King. His death will be the death of White Walkers. There is one more fact that we need to take into account. Bran's time travel can actually change things that happened in the past. Therefore, there is every possibility that this Night King could have been just that person who got stabbed by the Children of the Forest. But since Bran traveled back in time and interfered, in the new timeline he became the actual Night King and this way unknowingly he found the solution to defeat white walkers. Just a theory.

Here's the thing. If Bran is indeed Night King it makes no sense for him to go through the trouble of killing him, not just because it is he himself but that he need to let him be for him to become night king. I. The other hand if the theory suggests night king who realises Bran is himself and so wants to end it all with killing him, his current method is not Bran style. To lead an army to kill Bran' the root of the problem.

This theory is overwrought and kinda clunky. The show already showed us how the first Night King was created by the Children of the Forest. IIRC there hasn't been any mention or even foreshadowing to suggest Azor Ahai killed this original Night King and then took his place. Therefore it's highly unlikely it will go this way as it just seems very random and out of the blue

They never state in the show that it was the first night king that was created by the children of the forest. They created the first white walker which may or may not be the night king. Just saying that you junped to an early conclusiin which are not confirmed:-)

Even if they never specifically said it, they heavily implied it. Considering how the show is nearly over with it having one final -season- left, it's highly unlikely they would come out of left field with a convoluted outcome such as this without having spent any of the previous seasons giving any of these would be characters the time they would need in order for this -reveal- to mean anything. That's not discounting it for the books yet to come, but considering how most of the fandom around Game of Thrones now resides with the show, I doubt the show would try and force out such an outcome just to match the books. So for the show's sake, it is going to have to be involving some character they've established and gave weight to.

I agree with you on this point. I'm sure there are those that would love an ending of full circle. But I think most would prefer an ending where the chain is broken. It would give closure to the story, and some hope for the future. Who knows though. It's a coin toss. Daenerys did say she would break the wheel, but in that ending she would only become another spoke.

Jon killing Dany is very plausible. Jon's always willing to do the hard thing for the greater good. Dany has already shown signs of being more like her mad daddy, if this character development continues I could easily see Jon ending her to avoid that scenario. Especially if they find out the truth about being related. Dany will not take kindly to Jon being the true heir. This could also drive her mad, and Jon would end her.

I was OK with this as far as the White Walker woman being entombed at Winterfell, but I can't reconcile it with Danerys being the "new" Nissa Nissa/Night's Queen. She probably is pregnant, so when does Jon stab her? After the baby is born? Would she sacrifice herself and her baby? I hope not. I would hate ASOIAF forever.

No. Azor Ahai could have never been part of the night's watch, he was from Essos, from the far east. The legendary equivalent of westeros was the last hero, a completely different story: the last hero who made peace with the children, and just with a dozen companions and his dog left his castle (I think) to fight the walkers. The long night in essos and in westeros is an event which happened but both legendas are a world apart in distance. Azor ahai in the far east in essos and the last hero in westeros.

If that scene in Hold the door never happened then I could get behind this. My theory is that the night king is Bran and Jon is going to have to kill his brother. I believe one of the biggest reveal of the show is Jon being a legitimate Targaryen, all this since the show already showed how the night king was created BUT to be honest I've been wondering myself who he is is/was before the children turned him and it obviously points to a Stark but which one? (Enters this video theory)... according to the books we know the winterfell crypt has secrets and is holding back a big dark power hidden inside protected by metal swords etc.. and this will be key on the next season (why bother to create the first teaser in the winterfell crypt for season 8 if it's not important) and sadly I also believe the teaser has a simple message : the 3 of them are going to die.. I'm hoping this doesn't happen, but its Game of Thrones so... yeah. I'm pretty sure they will show the night kings identity in a Bran flashback (more reveals!)...on the Azor Ahai theory I really don't see Jon stabbing Dany with his sword unless she was already dying...I saw a video about a theory that has Dany dying after childbirth like Lyana and this is when Jon creatrs Lightbringer (makes sense). . So many things from the books they haven't done on the show that is difficult to think the writers can put all that together in only 6 episodes in the last season but we can only hope.

The Night King wants something from Winterfell! Someone has the dagger that turned him into the Night King and I think that dagger is being held by Arya Stark without her knowing it. The Night King will get that dagger and stab himself before he and his army turn to ice bits, then the real war the real Game Of Thrones kicks in, Jon and Danearys vs Cersie Lannister. That's why episode 3 is the hour long battle, the Night King is a mere distraction, the real war is between the living, The Hound vs The Mountain, Jon vs Bronn, Jamie kills Cersie, then Tyrion kills Jamie, and Tyrion kills himself saying that the Lannister bloodline dies with him, Gendry is found out to be the son of Cersie and Robert Baratheon, switched at birth by Viseries, Danearys dies in child birth, Jon has two children who he names Eddard and Lyanna, he slays the two remaining dragons before he is murdered by Gendry, who becomes King and marries Sansa, who poisons Gendry and becomes Queen but is then killed by Arya who then reveals herself to be Jaquen H'Ghar, who then returns to Bravos and carries on like nothing ever happened.

I don’t believe Jon will kill/sacrifice Dani regardless. I just really don’t think it will be necessary to defeat the WW’s. But I do believe the night king is a stark. I have believed that for a while- whatever he wants is at Winterfell. Do you really think Jon will kill Dani- or that light bringer has to actually exist?

Also these theories don't make much sense when put into the context of the show. There's been little build up for any of this. While I like some of the full-circle elements of the theory, a twist like that would feel like it came out of nowhere. Having a flashback to explore the Night King's backstory and then doing a twist based on that within the last six episodes? If that isn't weak storytelling, I don't know what is. It's more likely that NK wants to simply destroy humanity, because that's the way it has been presented in the story so far. There'll be some twist for sure, but it won't be something so out of left field.

I love this theory. Not to mention Dany is the only character we know who can walk through fire, so of course the fire burns within her, and I'm betting it's the sword Ice that must be used to go with the song of Ice and Fire theme. It does make a lot of sense for a Jon snow love story too, bc he already loved one from the wrong side of his loyalties and was forced to choose, and with this he would have to do so again. Makes me wonder, if it is true, does this pattern keep repeating? Was that the ultimate curse the Children of the Forest handed to mankind? Will Jon kill her when she is a Walker, or join her?

it's a cool Theory since dragonglass and valyrian steel seem to have same magical properties. i think the connecting link is dragonfire. valyrian steel and Dragonglass propably are both imbued with it. the reason no Smiths can reproduce valyrian steel is propably due to no Dragons being around the Knowledge of how to utilize their magical properties for the steel was put aside. it propably still resides somewhere in the ruins of valyria which is currently crawling with stonemen. this is also the reason why the current Smiths can reforge it by smelting it down but they cannot recreate it. but then again the Question arises why something touched by dragonfire, plunged through the very core of a human being turns them undead and drains the life and warmth from them, leaving Nothing but a seemingly empty Cold husk. usually something imbued with potent energetical dragonfire should have the opposite effect of energizing, Burning but this seems rather void and vengeful, absorbing all Energy of Body and Soul that it can get its Hands on. perhaps the valyrian steel and dragonglass are won through dragonblood and i kinda get the Feeling that Dragons are the emmissaries of the Lord of light and killing them for worldy gains is a sacrileg. so i could see why crystalized dragonblood (dragonglass) and dragonblood-forged weapons would be cursed but given that they are cursed they are also the key to either lift the curse (killing whitewalkers) or finish the Job in taking the last bit of Soul, life force and Energy of the host, leaving them crumbling to dust like the couple of whitewalkers that have already been slain by that type of weapons. going further down the Rabbit hole it is worth thinking About what brought About the ruin of valyria and the loss of all the Knowledge. a civilisation so advanced that even to this day in game of throne Terms People cannot reproduce their technological feats. from an earlier Episode we know that Dragons bring About a age of great magical power and they boost the magic capabilities of all the magical beings around them greatly. think About it, in old valyria Dragons were propably so common that they were regarded as more expandable and knowing human nature and the clichee endings of human high civilisations that get too greedy at some Point they open a pandoras box at some time which leads to their ruin. let's assume the Lord of light, his emmissaries the Dragons and the valyrian People were Living together Hand in Hand in harmony and happiness, but of Course some People tried to have more and be more than others out of greed. they Need to become more powerful than others. how do you do that in a civilisation where magic is common practice? you Need something to either boost your own magical prowess or to completly nullify the enemies magic to gain the upper hand. since valyrian steel seems to have magic+countering abilities it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to believe that it could also have been used for armor to protect users from magic of all Kinds, even perhaps from dragonfire. greyscale might be a sickness derived from very brave individuals trying to directly infuse themselves with dragonblood to gain a magic boost which worked at first and later turned them into feral scaly creatures and since then like a curse plagued humankind for it's crimes. a civil war might have broken out in which Dragons were willingly killed by either one side or at last even both sides because the means justify the Ends which eventually led to the ruin of old valyria. further and further losing the Benevolenz of the Lord of light he retracted, losing all hope in humankind. he later on decided to Show his face again because he perhaps saw hope in the upcoming Generation, People strong enough and willing to do the Right Thing, to lead humanity back onto the Right path of Peace, justice and happiness (danaerys and jon). at this Point i'm starting to imagine that the Lord of light perhaps is a very old, powerful and huge Dragon hidden somewhere in a cave. Dragons are considered to be super intelligent. Maybe the Lord of light is so old and has grown so Mighty that he aquired abilities similiar to brans, seeing past and future Events, being able to telepathically communicate with other Living creatures and distribute portions of his power between his faithful subjects. another Thing that is very interesting in that aspect is, that melisandre used bloodmagic to fullfill the Lord of Lights will to kill remley baratheon. since blood magic is so frowned upon and it propably is even highly illegal to use it and most People that aren't in the know About magic since it's Pretty much died out with the Dragons (my guess) don't even know About it it makes me wonder why the Lord of light which is supposed to be this good character with this ultimate masterplan to save the world wields such cruel and dispicable magic. my guess is, that at some Point he might have turned mad by seeing how his emmissaries or Children have been slaughtered by man for their own personal gains and even the supposed good ones turned bad and he wants to take Revenge on all of humankind. the Lord Always has strucken me as wicked. being cruel with bloodmagic, Burning and killing People to utilize their life force for magic, yet seemingly pushing the as "good" and "righteous" perceived characters to further their… or his ultimate Goal. at this Point the final Nemesis in the game of thrones series might not even be the nightking but the Lord of light. the other gods seem to have become very passive, kinda letting nature take it's own Course. the only god activly meddling with human quaries is the Lord of light, either making him more or less powerful than the other gods, but definitely different. kinda sticking out like a sore thumb and not letting nature take its own Course which leads me to believe that the Lord of Lights Motives are selfish which leads me to believe that it is actually a super powerful, yet mortal creature which only solidifies my ancient Dragon Theory as they usually grow more powerful the older they become. The Lord of Light, the legendary Sword lightbringer (lucifer = lightbringer), the disregard for human values (Burning pure People alive for power gains) all make this "god" seem vicious. He is fooling everybody with his Supernatural magic tricks into believing he is the real deal, that he is good because he is seemingly aiding humankind in a war against a obvious foe of which we don't know much yet, especially not that foes Motives. Or perhaps this was all a Setup from the getgo. creating the whitewalkers with dragonglass that he willingly provided for the Children of the forest, creating two huge Forces that will nearly annihilate each other to seize Control in the Moment when they are the weakest. kinda reminds me of how littlefinger goes on About his Little powergrabs and schemes. :^)

How is it a twist that Stanis killed his daughter? There was no twist to that, they basically said it was going to happen. Melisandre who constantly wants to sacrifice people with kings blood specifically says they need to bring her with them because she has a part to play. What happened to little finger was a bigger twist than that because they made it seem like he was in Sansa's head but then they went the complete opposite direction, or "twist"

Melisandres greatest sacrifice could end up being herself. She could play the part of NN, either by John, or even Dany, plunging Longclaw into her heart and then dying, full stop, ooorrrr, she then turns into a WW, goes to the Lands of Always Winter either by herself, or with any remnants of the undead army/other WW, to make sure good and all that they never return again, still retaining her absolute devotion to R'hlllor and the side of Light and Fire.

I post this one a lot, but here it goes anyway lol Jon is the "sword", Dany is "Princess that was Promised", Viserion is "Nissa Nissa". Tried to temper the "sword" in the "water" - failed (Jon refused to bend the knee, they were on Dragonstone, surrounded by water). Tried to temper the "sword" with a "lion", but failed (Jon still refused to bend the knee when Tyrion even asked him to during their first meeting). Later, Viserion died when Dany went to save Jon and co, and then afterwards the "sword" accepted her and was tempered (Jon saw the great sacrifice she made to save him against all odds and willingly bend the knee to her). And it is pretty plausible if not 99% certain that Jon will be the one to deliver the fatal blow to NK. Alternatively, it could be that Jon refused to bend the knee on several occasions: 1) in the throne room; 2) in the caves; 3) he willingly bends the knee after Viserion dies.

I have a different theory. I think the prophesy was interpreted incorrectly, it is not "the prince or princess that was promised" but instead should been the "artist formerly know as the prince that was promised" So you know that that means: The night king will show up and Winterfell and put on a "Let's go crazy" rock show, everyone once dances with each other... Starks, Targeryens, Lannisters, undead people, dire wolfs, dragons, giant spiders, undead bears, cats, and dogs, MASS HISTERIA!!!! Then everyone groups up and heads south to overthrow the real evil, Cersi.

I believe this is a very legit theory. George Martin never shys away from cruel twists . He orchested the red wedding where many people were brutally killed and they even stuck the wolf's head on Robb's body.. that was truly horrifying but that wasn't necessary. Shireens death and Hodor is also quiet cruel. So this theory truly does seem legit because that would make much sense considering Martin's way of writing. Thanks for sharing! :) Every time a new season is about to start I have rewatched all the seasons because there is always something there that has been missed. Specific characters have some mystery to them, and you wonder what will happen to them next. I like the theory and that it has been brought to attention.
