I love the time distortion effect. Once a friend and I were listening to music while smoking pot and, during a song that is 3:40 long, I asked: "Dude, hasn't this song been playing like 15 minutes or so? Why are we not even at the guitar solo yet?". His reply was the most serious and deadpan: "You're absolutely right." I have ever heard.

Haha that ending is amazing. Gotta imagine its happened to many people like that but that was EXACTLY what happened to me the first time. Especially when he's like "you're saying things and then trying to prove you aren't too high by saying you know those are things a high person would say." Hits the nail right on the head. I so vividly remember smoking and 10 minutes later I'm just like "how long have I been talking for?!" and then I'm like "crap, now I know it sounds like I'm high but trust me I realize what I'm doing right now is weird." Then I started talking about how it felt like I could see myself watching me make these mistakes and just having an out of body experience. Jason nailed it.

I missed a ton of Uni classes because I'm insomniac and it started becoming a big deal. So I started smoking weed a few times a week till I got to the 'breathing is no longer involuntary' point and then I'd eventually manage to get some sleep at night.

I did exactly the same thing! Half a cookie would be more than sufficient my guy said. I had two and went to bed. Woke up 2-3 hours later because I was too high to sleep. Took me like 15 minutes to get to the bathroom (which is like 3 meters away). Panicked and started googling if you can OD on weed... :)

A classic mistake I myself also made. Was told to eat half an 8th of shrooms. I ate a quarter. This was almost 10 years ago and I'm pretty sure this is all an intense hallucination I'm still riding out.

I've been smoking weed for more than 30 years, so I figured edibles wouldn't be a big deal... Unfortunately, they have NO effect on me. I feel bad for everyone that gets too high off them, but I'm also envious because I could eat a dozen weed cookies and only feel mellow. It's actually great for my PTSD when I'm in public but way too expensive for the minimal effects.

He made a rookie mistake: wait a minimum of three hours for the edible to start to hit. The others who "got high" after only an hour were probably drinking, or maybe smoking weed simultaneously, since it only takes about 15 minutes to hit after smoking. But for edibles, it can be about 3 hours, especially for first-timers. Another problem is not knowing the edible's potency, which is basically the case 95% of the time, and 100% for a first-time user. In my opinion, edibles are not really appropriate for an inexperienced user. A toke or two from a bong or pipe is much better, since one toke might make a particularly anxious person somewhat distressed or a bit paranoid, but they won't be going absolutely insane as they would if they ate 3 helpings of edibles in three hours.

Yuuup, been there a few times. You gotta be careful with the edibles, they come on slow and can easily creep up on you before you realize it. That's why I prefer smoking a bowl. It hits you instantly so it's a lot easier to avoid crossing over from "good time" to "terrifying ordeal."

This happened to me as well.... except so much worse.... I smoked weed once when I was 16, I didn't really like it very much and then never did it again. Until one day when I'm 36 and my cousin comes over with what I can only describe as "holy shit, that is SUPERWTF medical grade marijuana". I'm sitting there thinking, "It's cool I'll take a few hits." I did the exact same thing I did when I was younger, only so much worse. I took like 10 mega hits because it just kept getting passed back my way... The next thing I know I can't perceive the passage of time at all.... I can't fucking move... and I'm yelling at people because they sound really far away when they are only like 3 feet away. So I'm outside, sitting in a camping chair, staring at the fire pit. I pull out my phone trying to google how long this shit lasts and it feels like I'm hovering 20ft away from my phone trying to type this shit in. After what seems like 20 minutes I finally get the search done and I realize that no matter how much I try I can't focus AT ALL to read this article. So I say fuck it, and drop the phone and continue staring at the fire for what seems like 2-3 hours. Then all of a sudden I start VIOLENTLY vomiting, like at least 20 times I swear. People kept asking if I'm ok and I'm just saying "Fuck off, leave me alone, I can't move" Finally people help me stand up and get back to my room where I was able to sleep it off. Needless to say I will never smoke weed again.

So fuck my phone, i have to remake this comment again and yes I want your all to know. So again lol for the video. Don't feel too bad man. Once I got so high my friends and I went for a walk. And I turn around to see this shadow man following us. Now im barley awake as it is and my friend forgot to tell me he put a little extra in the bowl so my mind just said fuck it im an astronaut now. So I see this shadow man thinking im seeing things and I thought it would be funny to make up a story about this guy. So I make up this elaborate 10 min long story about how this guy is trying to kill us and what he will do to dispose of the bodies. And i went deep, J K Rowling has nothing on this. I described it all the way to the conversation he had with the shop keep of which he bought his knife. Anyways after the story my friend turns around and whispers in my ear "dude hes not in your head, hes just a guy walking his dog" probably extremely entertained by my story. Needless to say that man went on to be the next great american author ... or a cereal killer, yes he was so inspired by my story he went off to kill Capt Crunch XD
