Hi. Your video brings back some wonderful memories of my visits to Chiang Mai. I am glad you got to see Chiang Mai's night market like I suggested in a previous comment. It's amazing, no? The people. The food. The merchandise. The music. Etc. I had an amazing time at Sunday's night market. Good to hear you did too. Did you buy your long Thai pants? You can get some for just a few dollars. If you think it is hot now, just imagine what it is like in the summer! And Chiang Mai is in the cooler mountains in Thailand, unlike Bangkok and other popular places elsewhere where it gets super hot.

Thank you for bringing it up. Chiang Mai night market is indeed incredible, such vibrant energy, great people, delicious food, and unique finds! I did grab a pair of Thai pants at a great deal. They are not just comfy but also a cool souvenir 😊

The thai are really selling a lot on their markets. What is the temoerature during daytime and during nighttime?
@WandererBell
@WandererBell 7 ай бұрын
The daytime temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius and it cools down to approximately 18 degrees Celsius during the night and early morning. At first, it was tough for me but then I got used to it. Everywhere has AC so the hot weather is not really a big issue.

I think that the Thai migrated from south Chinatown to thailand aop. 10.000 years ago. Speaking an Early form of Thai. The danes came to Denmark around 1500 to 2000 years ago. I can almost not understand viking laguage 1000 years ago. Danish has emerged from the viking laguage.

Interesting observations! It is fascinating how languages evolve over time. History and migration play crucial roles in shaping languages. Thanks for sharing your insights!

in the previous vlog you mentioned you were going to meet a friend based in Chiang Mai...any insights about the visa situation or her experience/recommendations? thanks as always !

Yes, I did meet her. She obtained her long-term stay visa through her work as an English teacher in Chiang Mai. Although she was born and raised in the US, she mentioned that finding a teaching job in Thailand is relatively easy if your English is your first language, not second language. Before securing her current work visa, she used to extend her 30-day visa exception for an another 30 days. And then she would briefly visit Myanmar for one night and then reenter Thailand to reset the clock, effectively repeating the cycle (commonly known as a visa run). According to her, this is a common workaround that many American tourists use to stay in Thailand for over 60 days without obtaining a work visa.

Thanks for the info. Yes have read about the visa run online. I understand it depends also on your employer in USA (or Canada where I am from) too if you are employed as many companies either for secuirty or taxation purposes dont allow employees to work in countries where they dont have a legal presence. @@WandererBell

From my understanding, she is employed by a school in Thailand. However, if you work for a US company while traveling abroad for vacation/fun, it should be fine as long as your base is in the US and you maintain a US address and you get a permission from the HR department to do so. I am not sure about the rules in Canada. They might be more strict.

Thanks. Yes, some companies have reintroduced back in office rules now that restrictions are over. Was a fair bit of backlash from people in general but companies were paying office/building rent and mainly empty. Lot of restaurants/food courts etc suffered as well with the lack of foot traffic in downtown core for example. Now many companies like financial institutions you need to be in office once a week or twice a week unfortunately. @@WandererBell

Do you wish you were taller so you could more easily film over the crowd of people?
@WandererBell

Surprisingly, I felt my height is above average in Thailand but definitely not in Europe and USA. It is challenging to film in crowded area and being tall definitely helps 😊
