I can't believe Rachel just mention this scene when Seth tells Ryan tha making list helps him to relax. That's one of my favorite moments on the show. I grew up in a circumstance of abusive family and I always make that to help me when I was little. I always thought I was the only one or maybe something to do with the fact that I'm on autism spectrum. My brother always got a little bothered with me asking for him to guess my list from this or that but end up doing it. I few years ago I show him this scene and was very emotional. When I first watched I cry and remember I quote from my favorite song at the time from my favorire band Evanescence that says "You know you're not the only one". That scene feels like a hug to me. Thanks Rachel for mention. Means a lot to me. 💜🥺💜

So glad Rachel remembered to tell us the thing she noticed between her and Adam in this episode (admittedly, I was nervous she'd forget, lol). I've always wondered about certain episodes in season 4, if they were already broken up in real life just based on how their interactions seemed (more distant). I also really felt for Rachel saying that this podcast ending is like her having to say goodbye to the show all over again. 😢 This is one of my fave episodes of The OC and one of my favorite of the podcast, too! Really great stuff.

I’m glad my rewatch corresponded so closely with the end of you’re guys podcast. Wish I would’ve caught it sooner though. I’ve really enjoyed the look back from you guys, having been so closely tied to it. The OC was my adolescence. Ended right when I went into HS. Basically formed my taste in music. Such a find trip down memory lane. A big thanks to everyone involved. As a construction worker, I have very few people to talk about the finer details of my favorite 15 year old teen soap opera, so it was very appreciated. Helps me get through the workday. Congrats on making it through. I’m sure I’ll be back to rewatch the pod on my next rewatch!

We’ve said it before and will again, SO glad that there wasn’t a swap of relationships in core 4. Sure Gossip Girl lasted but it was ridiculous and holds nowhere near as close to my heart (and I loved them both as a teenager) GG is teenage drama, fun sure. The OC is.. no words 👌

Can’t believe this podcast is ending next week 😔 Melinda’s done such a great job with these recaps and interviews, and even though Rachel got some flack at first for not remembering a lot about the show, I’ve enjoyed hearing her thoughts and reactions as a first time watcher. Definitely going to miss this show 😢

I did notice a change in Rachel, I think she must have read some of the comments (hopefully not too harsh on her) about her lack of involvement and stepped up the game. I am positively impressed as she must have taken the criticism in a constructive way. At least that's what I noticed :)

The end of last week's podcast when Rachel came in, I started to get really teary eyed listening to you guys talk. I am so amazed at how impacting this podcast and walks down memory lane of the show has been for me.... The cast, the crew n all of you all have instilled a life long impression into my soul that only makes me love the show even more and I will cherish it forever..... So far, I've only been lucky enough to meet Ben but I hope one day to meet all of you n tell you this in person..... n of course to get my OC paraphernalia signed by the all also..... 💕💕💕

I always interpreted Kirsten’s “somethings wrong” as symbolic, her inherently knowing that her kids plural were in danger, like that her maternal instinct was kicking in and feeling that Ryan’s pain. I guess everyone can find their own meaning - and it does connect to Stephanies explanation of the full circle moment for her and Ryan’s relationship and how she grew as a mother throughout the show.

Honestly... I get the fact that Stephanie felt as if they'd failed, as The OC never got to 100 episodes, and that clearly seemed to be a big deal, especially back then, considering the way things used to be... At least imo, the show could've gone on for a while longer and it still would've been great, but it went out with a bang anyway, and I guess that means much more than maybe having a longer lasting show which turned out to be not-so-good at the end, as it happens in some other shows
