In the manga it’s hi killed his gf by placing her under Tsukuyomi and having her live her entire life with in in and dying of old age well madra killed the woman and children

This was actually in the light novel _Itachi Shinden: Book of Dark Night,_ and Obito did most of the killing of the women and children, but Itachi still got his share of women-and-children kills before going to his home.

Can we now agree that Hiruzen was a piece of shit as a leader. Talk about a total pushover. Nobody else ever ruled like that. He literally let Danzo and the elders overrule him everytime. He never showed any backbone and just did whatever was right as a leader regardless of what Danzo wanted. This is the same guy who had Neji's had killed over nonsense instead of standing up to the Hidden Cloud who made an obvious scheme. Hiruzen is the type of guy who would apologize to you if you slapped him. Total pushover.

It genuinely amazes me how Itachi gets Hero worship after murdering his clan. For me he is at best a genocidal maniac that was a necessary evil for the greater populace, even that is a stretch given the circumstances. You can cry while murdering your clan and people will sympathize with you instead of your victims lmao.

@@AbegazNap the Uchiha coup was going ahead regardless if Danzo was alive or not. That would've led to a civil war inside the leaf leading to mass death... Then other villages invading the leaf because they'd be weak after the civil war. If Itachi didn't take them out, a lot more people would've died and probably all of the characters we know wouldn't exist.

Hiruzen was also very passive. I mean he IS the Hokage. If he was bold of a Hokage like Tsunade or something, maybe he could've avoided the massacre.

@@JonSnow-pn6gnhe didn’t act on it because he doesn’t really want to follow suit with it at the same time he knows if he let it drag on it’s going to be a bigger threat. He see’s the uchiha as brothers of war they created the konoha together but the uchiha were more outcasted because they had other plans. It’s the stone tablet, the stone tablet was manipulated by black zetsu and became a method of reviving kaguya. So it’s because he has experience and he cares for them it’s why he doesn’t do anything. If you had a brother who’s on drugs and is not willing too quit no matter what you do, what will you do at that point? Beat him up? Follow through in his habits and support him even if you don’t agree with it? It’s because he has experience and he cares for them it’s why he don’t take action. Tsunada would just wipe them herself because they have no relationship at all. She’s like the first hokage “I’m willing to protect my village at all cost even if I have to kill my own son”. But the third isn’t like that so.
