I used to drive the back roads by moonlight when it was a full moon. Especially in winter with the extra light reflected. But the meteors and meteorites were amazing. We used to go lie up on top of the hay stacks (warm) and just fall up into the night sky. But we were in a valley. I can’t even imagine how amazing it will be up there now for Perseides

I did a raft trip down the Grand Canyon during a full moon. 4am the moon came over the rim of the canyon and i woke up thinking it was morning. Everything lit up in silver. The mos amazing 8 days.

When I worked in the field at Capitol Reef National Park, night time was so bright during clear Full Moons that you could actually see color and you would cast a dark shadow. It was like a creepy day time, but at night.

Unless you were one of those conspiracy theorists, you can appreciate that I feel better about having seen that untouched moon.
