FUUUUUUUUUUUU-- I could have used this build last night. ;_; I _just_ finished 2-3 on Insane for the first time, after 10+ attempts! Ended up having to use my single Synthetic Backup card like the loser I am!

Been grinding Hardcore mode and discovered the joy of Chain Reaction sniper Recon builds. One-shotting synths on Insane is sick. I'm not sure how high I can go on Hardcore while still one-shotting them, but I ran 2-3 on Hardcore 25 without the challenge card and it wasn't close. Couple questions after running with this: is six slots for Extended Duration worth it for a fourth mag? ED1 gives you a third mag for only one slot. The five extra slots could be Back In the Fight and another Rifle expertise/mastery, plus Adrenaline Rush or QC1 on the drone. Also, is Flared Breech worth it on the Pike? Fire rate doesn't matter as much on the Pike since you have to reload after every shot, unless you proc Got Your Back. Even if it is, Launch Accelerator gives you the same Fire Rate buff while boosting other stuff, and you don't really need a Max Ammo buff on a Recon build.

Hardcore doesn't really show you the same experience you would have in the base game. Hardcore 50 (which is the max) is a difficulty level that is somewhere between Intense and Extreme. The 40% extra Duration isn't for you, it's for your team. There are many guns that get less ammo than their clip size. Thinking about the Smart Gun, for example. Or the Impact Grenade Launcher. The 4 clips is to ensure your team never runs out of ammo. And, personally, with Threat Neutralized proccing with every headshot kill on the synths, you don't really need any cooldown reduction perks on the Support Drone. Adrenaline Rush is a wasted perk as 20% of 10 Health is 2. Sacrificing 2 Perk Grid Points for 2 extra Health is just a waste. If you can one-shot them without the challenge card, you can definitely use something else. Flared Breech is there to compensate for the Challenge Card in the off-chance Got Your Back procs. It allows for faster follow-up shots. And the faster things die, the faster you go through the mission.

@@Psyqhical my point with Duration is that uptime is the key metric with drones, and with Threat Neutralized you're already cutting your recharge time down. Add in Back In The Fight and you have drones up almost all the time. I just don't think you need 4 mags per drone when you can achieve nearly constant uptime.

Good build, but I would not put any perks but adrenaline rush into support drone and better add hit and run tactics, surgeon's hands and add back in fight to got your back to decrease abilities cool-down. I never add anything but adr rush to sup drone and back in fight plus threat neutralized to get very fast ability recharge speed so ammo is always enough even having 2-3 clips from the drone

They fixed the drone, if you don't have any Duration it now only spits out 2 clips, which (imo) isn't enough for the more ammo hungry weapons your teamnates might bring. Especially for Demos or Lancers that rely on their Heavy Weapons to deal damage. Also, Threat Neutralized is all you need for this build as cooldowns go. You're always headshotting and mostly it's a One-Shot kill. After 6 shots, you have your drone back. 😋

Sorry to be 'that guy' but you can actually get 38% duration on the support drone by dropping Enhanced Duration IV and replacing it with Enhanced Duration III and Enhanced Duration I. Cold Iron logic in action right there!!!

Indeed, I am aware. But you only need 35% for it to spit out 4 clips and, somehow, my OCD wants it this way. 🤣

Sure, but you'll need to get used to the firing mechanic. Plasma shotty shoots at trigger release, whereas other guns firing on trigger pull.

@@Psyqhical eh tap for quick shots still so not a big deal for me but ive def been enjoying it recons dmg buffs and the acc it has on the kit w that thing just feel sstisfying to dome big enemies weakpoints w it full pellets range isnt bad either and the stun from having tanker break is nice if im suddenly in need of making something not be so close to me if it cant be one shot i get why heirloom and basic pump shotty are the dps monsters but plasma def has some interesting attachments for dmg and its gimmick and base stats feel like it lends itself to some interesting uses on tech and recon or maybe phalanx all i seem to see are people sayings its not that good yet it feels really solid when used right appreciate the reply been digging into the game as of the holiday week and have a couple classes maxed and hunting last rng drop attachments now got the rng weps done game reminds me in many ways of the division so build crafting and weapon modding have been a blast to mess w so far vids like yours turned me onto alot of fun lil things i otherwise wouldnt of thought of off the bat like the impact nade at lvl 4 for buffing demos dot dmg and general dmg

I feel like the auto loader is a hit'n miss kind of attachment. Sometimes it works really well, other times it might procc like only 5 to 6 times during a mission. But, yeah, it's a really good attachement, I just prefer more certainty. 😋
