Hi, great conversion, well done. I was wondering how you got the middle seat holders out of the tracks. I removed the small seat and the middle seats and managed to get the holders out except for the ones on the long track which also has the clips for the back seats. I don't want to remove the clip lock for the back seats in case I can't get them back in and working as I still use the back seats. Hope you can help.

From memory I had to remove the tracks which I wanted anyway. The back seat track and clip lock are still in place but covered and out of the way. Thanks for the comment and wish I could help more.

Great job,. my question is ,did you have to vent the grey tank to the outside ? & if so where?
@dreamjewels5 жыл бұрын
No, just made sure the outlet was vented above the bottle, it passed no problems. Thanks for the question.

What do you use to film , i see you have some sort of adapter on your phone

Hi, am using a Sony AS HDR as300 to video This wirelessly transmits to the cell phone via Sony's app, You can edit on the app but I prefer to save to the micro SD card and edit with Power director 16. I use a pistol grip that holds both items.

Great job ... well done! Just a little correction ...NZMCA has not banned Peoplemovers, but does not certify self containment for them, which they do at no cost for other vehicles owned by members. We had Alphard and Estima certified by them before the policy change. Peoplemovers make great small campers!
@dreamjewels5 жыл бұрын
I agree to a point, when I contacted them I was told that I could use camps up to the point of my renewal of my subs but the ElGrand was and still is on the list of exclusions. I am confused re all of this and sold the van anyway as it was a project for me to do. They do make perfect campers though.

Does any other organisation certify them instead of NZMCA or are they the only one in NZ?
@caravanchronicals65575 жыл бұрын
Yes they do, All Points Camping do them and can supply you with a local person to undertake the job. Some of the certifiers do BOTH clubs so this can give you a wider choice. If you belong to the club (either) the cost is reduced and with the NZMCA a donation to the certifier is normal say $20.00. With All points it is a fixed fee

@@caravanchronicals6557 I was most concerned as I bought an Elgrand conversion and was accepted for insurance cover with covi vis the association. They didn't mention that there was a ban on the Elgrand , fully contained conversions. Should o be worried ?
@susansharkey23725 жыл бұрын
If you don’t mind me asking , how much did the conversion cost?
@dreamjewels5 жыл бұрын
Without counting my labour approx $3600.00, but I didn't get the cheapest of everything, for instance the blue cushions were made for me and cost just over a grand, the toilet isn't the cheap boxy one and the solar converter alone cost over a hundred dollars and so on. I am a joiner by trade although retired and it took me about a week and a half from scratch. I also put aluminium edging round the edges of the floor where the steps are and many other so called finer points as I knew it was going to be expensive in the end so it had to be good to warrant that price. Hope this helps.
