I had a townace (5 speed MANUAL) it could definately carry more than this NV200 (i have a friend in the same biz as mine who has the NV200 & we compared and contrasted) - NV200 is 600kg nissan vs Townace 750kg - townace interior volume in relation to the length of the car is larger due to townace having the engine below the front cabin hence maximizing space. - Townace has alot of torque, again i stress, the Manual version. if you can get a manual townace and dont mind the looks go for it, if you cannot find a manual one, just get the nissan.

The HR16 is very capable. I have done two trips to coast from kisii to mombasa bila issues.
