Nitrogen percentages in Body and Air from Quranic Verse Numbers: There is a verse in chapter 55 ( Ar Rahman) repeated 31 times--- "So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny?" The verse numbers are as follows. 13, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63, 65, 67, 69, 71, 73, 75, 77 1) Total sum of these numbers= 1433 Sum of odd numbers = 1119 Ratio = 1119/1433 *100 = 78.087 which is nothing but percentage of Nitrogen in AIR. Another way to get this ratio is by the summation of numbers greater than 40 (I. e. 40 to 77) We get the same 1119/1433 = 78.087. Why they matched?? 2) sum of numbers which are in 10+ is 13+16+18= 47 Ratio = 47/1433 * 100 = 3.2 which is the percent of Nitrogen in HUMAN BODY. Next question is why Nitrogen??? Remove all the nitrogen and then the atmosphere would be nearly pure oxygen (albeit at 21% the current pressure and density). Then, in those conditions, try to make a fire. It would burn in an instant, uncontrollably. Nitrogen is necessary for plant growth (amino acids are called "amino" because this implies the presence of nitrogen in the molecule) and to make proteins. The nitrogen of the air is fixated by bacteria in the soil and then captured by plants roots. Also, it seems that the presence of nitrogen in the air is used by the human body to synthesize NO (nitric oxide) which was recently identified as being vital for process like neurotransmission. Why quran mentions lightening and rain together in verse 30: 24 ? People with Science background can understand the importance of nitrogen in reviving the dead lands. Plants need nitrogen to grow and the air is about 78% nitrogen, but it is a form that plants cannot use. Lightning changes nitrogen in the air into a form plants can use. This is called "fixation" of nitrogen. Lightning accounts for about 5% of the natural fixation of nitrogen. Nitrogen helps plants use carbohydrates to gain energy, like foods we eat help us to gain energy. Nitrogen controls how plants take their form and how they function inside, and nitrogen helps plants make protein that help them grow strong and healthy. Humans and animals benefit from eating vegetables and plants that are rich in nitrogen because proteins are passed on to humans and animals when they eat vegetables and plants. [Quran 30:24] Among His proofs is that He shows you the lightning as a source of fear, as well as hope, then He sends down from the sky water to revive a land that has been dead. In these, there are sufficient proofs for people who understand. [Quran 36:36] Glory be to the One who created all kinds of plants from the earth, as well as themselves, and other creations that they do not even know. [Quran 39:21] Do you not see that God sends down from the sky water, then places it into underground wells, then produces with it plants of various colors, then they grow until they turn yellow, then He turns them into hay?
