Oh my gosh! I could listen to this thousand times. I really appreciate your contemporary take and applying these principles to a householder’s life. I have learned of these scattershot, but I appreciate your taking the information directly from Patanjali’s sutras and offering suggestions for direct application in our lives. ❤❤❤

The yellow one I got from a friend (with the many translations) it's "The Unadorned Thread of Yoga" - you can try Amazon. The blue version is Sri Swami Satchidananda's version.

What is actually the aim of the Yoga sutras?
@RachelScottYoga4 ай бұрын
Stilling the fluctuations of the mind.
@deadlyninja83912 жыл бұрын
It's not modern lens, for householders it should be Karma Yoga, thats what Krishna taught which was different from Astanga Yoga. One is still not his/her body & mind. Not old times, even today go to Himalayas you will find true Ashtanga yogis. To summarise Ashtanga Yoga/Patanjali yog is not for householders

sexs, relations? is easy to be purer in a monaster, but is this the way?....
@RachelScottYoga11 ай бұрын
I am more a fan of relationships and integrating our spiritual practices with our human experiences rather than monasticism ~ the classical tantrik philosophy creates more alignment for householders I think. But Patanjali favoured renunciation…
@iipinstytutintegracjipsych710911 ай бұрын
yes! but for mi tantrik to, have to levels, 1-develop yourself in the society and than , 2-develop your spirituality . thanks for your time:)@@RachelScottYoga - by the way: your mind is greaty, thank s that you to share if us.
