Another note: if you are active duty military, most credit card companies will waive the annual fees for their credit cards because of the military lending act. An example of this is american express; all of their credit card fees are waived so long as you are active duty. Yes, this includes the platinum card.

I have my credit card set so automatically once a month on the same day it auto debits my checking acct to only pay off lasts months statement balance. so it never gets a big balance. Just make sure the money is in ur bank acct to cover it.

Not if you use them wisely pay in full and on time to avoid interest don't spend more than you have. I use credit cards and don't pay interest.
