I haven't read it. Handke writes so much, I haven't been able to keep up.

I've read Goalie. It is one of these odd novels where nothing much happens but it is not boring.

Funny, isn't it? That's the sign of a great writer for me.. the ability to hold your attention while nothing happens.

Are you really yourself capable of determining whether Milosevic was guilty of genocide, or are you merely repeating what you've heard from the NATO functionaries who bombed civilians in Serbia for something like 78 days and killed around 500 of them and would have bombed them for years if Serbia had not surrendered? The statement detracts from your objectivity, and that lessens my goodwill regarding your judgements. Is it really Handke who suffers from ethical blindness, or is the people in leadership roles in the West today who back the war in Ukraine on the basis that it's Ukrainians who are being killed so cost-effectively for the 'defense' of aggressive NATO states? Handke is a very small fish in comparison.

Why would you assume he's listening to NATO functionaries? Because he disagrees with your conclusion?
