@@dabsafeI just feel so sorry for this brave and characterful old man. He is still searching for love, truth and peace which sadly cannot be found in pride, and his restlessness is hurting me, because I was just like him, only much more naive. Amost every boxer and other martial artists I met in my 40 years life, all of them have huge ego and pride, that makes them so vulnerable to this world full of greed, lies and dishonor. Boxing is beautiful art and I train ir for myself for years, but it is very dangerous for inner peace if you train it with others, building your ego to skylimit, just like this old man did to himself.

Respect is a rare thing these days unfortunately. Combat sports is the one thing that makes everyone equal whether that be training hard or getting back up when you've been knocked down. No hard feelings after the fight too 🇭🇰🇬🇧

❤ boxed at 18, and now I'm back at 48 and it's the best damn thing I ever did for myself. I googled my old trainer from when I was a kid. He was an amateur champion in his time. He held the record for the oldest amateur champion. He never told me that. He told me " Bobby, u hit so hard Bobby!". Would pick me up in his car for my fights. Would lol pick me up with a six pack of beer and get me out of my parents abusive home. He was a great man! Thank you coach William J. Webb. I miss you and u inspired me more then you will ever know. A dream for me is to train lil kids and teens in boxing. Show them what it feels like to have someone give a sh!t about them.... Get them to have just one win in the ring to feel that champion inside them. 🙏🤘

I'm 31 years old, I started boxing at the age of 28. The best thing that ever happened to me. A boost of self-confidence, great cardio, great new friends. Even men over 50 years of age come and start their adventure. It's never too late. "How much can you know about yourself if you've never had a fight?" Great sport.

My grandfather use to be a boxer, he trained untill his 80 years old, just cancer beated him at the end. He wasn´t exactly a good men but really tried to do his best for his family and hia students. In the funeral crowds of people where there for the last goodbye, some of his students where wearing sporting clothes, I couldn´t believ the kind of respect and honour he achiev it in life.

When listening to him and his passion for boxing brings me back to my childhood. It wasn't perfect, I never had a coach, but the part where he reflected on what a boxing bag was made of hit deep. Rocky the movie taught me simple running, shadow boxing, and push-ups and my school bag was my first gym. Left, right 100 times was my staple, then I watched old boxing clips, and then we had our own champions here in my country, Jimmy Thunder and David Tua, and then for me Oscar Delahoia. Love this clip.

I never really followed boxing because I just thought it was people just trying to smash each other's heads in but since my son started boxing 3 years ago I have a more understanding about it. The skill, the fitness, the discipline, the hard work, and the comradery. I've got the greatest respect for anyone who takes part in the sport from the contenders and the staff.

I like this guy, and he has prooved his discipline and toughness in the sport of boxing, but anyone who is in their seventies now is a baby boomer that lived through the greatest economic golden era from the sixties to the early seventies . The working British poor would all have access to social housing and most men working could buy a nice house and afford a family, on an ordinary working mans wage now you would be lucky to afford the rent on a house share with several others , and have to live with huge societal problems that didnt exist then.Anyone that was prepared to work during this mans working life , could make a go of it in a way that has been denied to subsequent generations of working class people.Nowadays the working man comes second to layabouts and criminals.
