This was my first SMT game and as I wanted a true SMT experience went blind on hard. When this happened I was going back to the recovery spring and got caught just in front of the door. This was very early into the game, I didn't know the mechanics that well, I've learned since then, you don't need to be a dick about it you condescending prick. I decided to make a clip of me sucking at the game and sharing it with my friends because I thought it was funny, there's plenty of Nocturne moments memes and wanted to have my own.

sometimes you see a nocturne clip and its the most easily avoidable death and OP makes some "nocturne is well balanced" or "nocturne is fair" comment. sometimes you see a clip and just know that it wasn't OP's fault, they just got fucked

I always keep some healers on reserve and dia tf up after every battle that causes health loss. This game is awesome though. I love seeing posts like this and hope I can finish it soon.

This was me when I started playing megaten games, I thought it was a cool "thank you smt" moment and wanted to make a clip to show my friends, but yeah, since then I've improved quite a lot. Worst thing is that those moment happen way less because now I'm better prepared to handle them haha. I have a few more clips I'd like to share, maybe if I get a moment to cut them and upload on YT we can all laugh together :)

I was exploring a bit around Ikebukuro, before going in to the Mantra HQ and this combat just triggered few steps before the healing room. It felt like a real ambush haha but no real time loss there, I've played many megaten titles since and I've had much much worse time losses

I know it's not the smartest thing to do, it was my first run, going blind and hard mode, trying to do minimum grind, felt a bit underleveled and scared because I was wiped before by standard encounters. Don't worry I can play better now, I only uploaded the video to have some laughs with my friends. Classic "omg nocturne" memes, you know.

haha right. Actually in a video I never bothered to edit/cut and upload, I kinda teased a boss by spamming Sukukaja/Sukunda, Demifiend was the last alive with very low HP and dodged several attacks while punching the enemy, but eventually died to whatever attack. It was pretty anticlimatic but I found it funny, maybe someday when I feel like it I try to edit it short.

@@soldier9611 Sukukaja is very good but more as a way to consume extra turns from the opponent, you shouldn't rely on it for survival but setting it up is still great cause you'll get more free turns which can be used to play more offensively since they are turn you don't need to heal. Rarely that useful in random encounters cause they're so short but against bosses absolutely do use it

@@portalzebra333 I didn't go into battle, the battle came to me. I was trying to reach the healing fountain and this is the second battle that happened back to back. Additionally, this was my first megaten game, my first run, going blind on hard.

I don't know how many times you encountered these particular enemies but knowing weaknesses and understanding the spells at your disposal is important as it could have prevented you from losing. You could have easily used Shock to do damage to the entire group (or at least 2 of them and possibly caused a shocked effect), marin karin on Momunofu (which would trigger his weakness giving you not only a possible ally but extra turn), a normal attack on one of the inugami or use an item for health, media and another shock. It would have put you at a better position than anything.

@@jaysonderrickson9540 I know that now, but back then everything was new and I don't think I had all the mechanics in mind at the time. Since then I've played several 3DS titles (SJR, DeSu), SMT3,4,A, and Personas 2-5 o hardest difficulty and looking at this video I know I suck, that why I find it funny. The intention of the clip was just to share a "nocturne experience" meme with my friends, didn't expect the video the be seen by this many people that without context they just probably think: what a noob lol
