The Nomad By Boxer Blades Test and Review

The Nomad By Tanner over at Boxer Blades is an amazing edc, survival, bushcraft, and camp knife. Made of 01 tool steel and comes with a scandi grind (personel choice) .08" blade thickness and handled in OD peel ply G10 micarta. The custom kydex sheath is Desert Night Camo with leather backer and belt loop. The included ferro rod was crafted by Mike Faehnrich. The nomads start at $160 shipped domestic (USA). This knife has upped my expectations of how a blade should feel and perform. Hands down the best knife I have had the pleasure of using, not to mention the best quality I am yet to see and own. All of Tanners knives are completely custom you choose the materials, grind, kydex pattern and let him do what he's best at crafting you a beautiful blade with the upmost attention, detail, craftsmanship, and quality. This knife has replaced all my other carries, and I rarely leave the house without it and will never head into the mountains without it on my side.

Nice simple review Jeff! Looks like a good blade and I love the kydex retention sliding screw system! I wish everyone had a standard option for that.

trying hard to just do cut and dry and get right to the point so guilty of being long winded lol. The retention system is amazing the kydex fitd so well tho just solid all around. With the leather backing it's basically a hip carry only I don't see myself using the lock to often.

@@JTDOutdoors True but it does give you the option to hip, chest rig, or pack carry upside down! The tactical world likes those options from what I’ve seen and heard.

Looks like a pretty good knife, but that kydex sheath is top tier. Do you know if they do custom sheaths for other knives?

the kydex is amazing quality. thats a good question reach oout to boxer blades on instgram and ask him im sure tanner wouldxi know he does custom holsters so a custom sheath ould be doable
